I watched the IGN review, yesterday and I thought to myself, "Yeah, it looks okay.  Nothing to complain about." but when I finally played it, I was actually surprised how good it looked.  I'd say that playing is believing, in this case.  I still haven't played enough to give a detailed opinion and it looks like that probably won't happen until late tonight, if at all.  I think you'll like it, though.

Yes I will not dispute that you personally think it's the best looking game ever....

But I don't think it's the best looking game on consoles. Definitely the best looking on the 360. 343 did a good job for sure

Its a great looking game, loads will agree but I have to point out a flaw thats bugged me a lot.

Its the particle effects, plasma grenades, power weapons and bullet impact / ricochet are the worst they have been since Halo 2. Shooting at snow, ground, walls, dead bodies trees has very little visual effect.

Other than that, its great, best looking fps on consoles so far.

But even then, theres gonna be PS fans saying Uncharted 3 and Last of Us. The notion that a 360 game looks better (such as the Crysis 2 > Killzone 3 scandal) destroys the ideals that PS3 fans have reinforced since 2006 that PS3 games look better.

Point being, its a toss up, but definitely an arguable case.

its very hard if not impossible to compare uncharted visuals with halo 4's as they have very different art styles and art direction. both games look fantastic though, thats all that is important

Nah not even on the 360
Witcher 2 and Forza 4 are more impressive

Overall on consoles > Uncharted 3 by far and soon with the Last of Us,Beyond Two Souls and the new God of War Game back to owning the spots.

Nope - BF3 Ultra Settings far ahead of everything.Skyrim with the ENB Mod shows how Skyrim should look.

"Now I think of it, I don't think I've sen any PC games which I would say look as good".. Emphasis on the "I", of course its personal opinion. We are talking about something looking "good" not realistic. I'm not counting polygons here, I'm simply conveying the impression the visuals left on me. What would you say is the best looking PC game released thus far?

Stunning looking game. Competes with Crysis 2 although unsure if better. Killzone 3 is still the best looking FPS as it is super linear however.

Gears 3 imo looks better on the 360 and is the best looking on the console. It might be beaten by Gears of War Judgement next year.

As for overall, GoW3-UC2-UC3 are still the top three. Remains to see if GoWA, TLOU and maybe (maybe) Beyond can change that.

I can actually argue Reach is better on the technical level (barely) but I'd be eaten alive. That said I actually think Gears of Wars 3 looks to be the best game on 360 technically (Maybe Crysis 2, but I haven't played any version of it)

I would have to agree. The campaign is absolutly stunning. 343 are technical geniouses getting this kind of performance out of such old technology.

There are however top tier PC games which look better so dont take it to far. Thats not realky a fair comparison though
