Back on topic, I'm really enjoying the campaign, does anyone know what resolution it's running at. Looks SOOOOOOO much better than any rubbish Bungie turned out. Sorry, I respect Bungie for what they did with the original, but was never impressed with Halo 3 or ODST and REACH. They were graphically lazy.

Halo 4 is like a next gen game to compare relatively, loving it
.

I didn't want to go there since I never was the biggest Halo fan but yeah.  That was my first impression, too.  This game just feels like such an improvement over the previous games.  You can feel a bit of a next gen vibe coming from it.

So I have a question for everybody by the way. Me and my friends couldn't join each others Halo Parties yesterday a lot of the time. Halowaypoint was also down most of the day, so was the servers having issues yesterday? Also are they working correctly now too? Another question is what about the killcams. I noticed they got removed about midway through the day. Now I know they didn't have a beta so it's understandable but I was just wondering about a few of these things

Something's wrong.  Every time I log into Xbox Live, I get logged out mid-whatever.  I haven't played Halo today but I listened to music on I Heart Radio and got logged out, downloaded an indie game demo and got logged out, and tried to browse my Achievements and nothing was there.  Maybe the demand on the service is too much.  Xbox Livd seems kind of unstable right now.

So it's xbox live in general?  I guess it probably isn't helping that Halo 4 has 100s of thousands of people playing online too.

Yeah.  Look at my sig.  That that section of recently played Xbox 360 games?  That empty white box is Halo 4.  WTF?

1280x720, it's the first true 720p Halo game.

I love Bungie and what they have given me, so it pains me to say this: They weren't graphically lazy, they were incompetent, especially with the CPU.

Haha What a lovely white box XD That is really strange though.  I'm sure it will be fixed soon enough.

My initial impressions.

1. This is the game I have been waiting for since Halo 4. By far the best Halo and best FPS I have played so far.

2. Graphics are INSANE. Very close to the best I've ever seen on any console, I honestly didn't think the 360 was capable of this amount of graphical and technical detail. Environments are huge and the draw distance is breathtaking. Also the facial animations are the best I have ever seen.

3. Multiplayer is the best I have ever played by far. Even when I get owned I am having fun. Everything blends together so perfectly and it takes the best of COD and the best of Halo to form the most excellent multiplayer I've ever played. Only gripes are the AR and SAW are a bit overpowered (especially the SAW).

4. I'm only on the first mission in campaign but so far it's also the best campaign I've ever played. Shows a human side of Master Chief and Cortana that I never thought I would see. Perfect blend of action, cinematic, and excellently crafted story.

I haven't played Spartan Ops or Forge or messed around with theater.

So overall impressions is that this game is AMAZING! Game of the year and of all time for me.

Your impressions make me want to go out and grab another copy to play while I'm playing my original copy!  Is there anything you would say that you didn't like about the game?  Not being ablt to look down the sites or crappy menus or something (hypothetically)?

Complaints....umm, I don't like how you still can't have multiple people watch theater videos (Halo 3 let you) and some weapons in MP are slightly OP. Overall I don't really have any serious complaints with the game (I am probably missing a few little things and I'll probably come across a few more things as I play more).

I am of the opinion that Halo 4 is the epitome of current gen gaming.
