Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Black Ops 2 Launch Guide (Wii U 720p 60fps, 360/ps3 SUB-HD)

If you are going to talk about technical capabilities of a console, rule no. 1 : Never talk about a game you believe is a port.

Because then you have a contradiction. The fact is this game isn't much of an improvement over the PS360 versions. Well, at least that's what I can infer from the OP.

So in other words, the best place to buy this is on PC. Got it

In all seriousness, good to see the next gen version taking advantage of higher resolutions. Now it would be nice to see it in 1080p.

Who cares?
A 10+ year old Engine will look bad no matter on what Platform.
It will never reach the beauty of Battlefield 3 PC Ultra Settings no matter what.
Its sad people even discuss about the graphics of CoD cause they are only comparable to early PS2 Games....
Oooooh 60 fps - Super Mario Land runs on 2378962389 FPS on a PC Emulator but i don't see news about that.It isn't hard to get a 10+ year old Game running on much stronger hardware.
Its probably even worse they can't get the PS360 versions running in 60fps and 1080p cause its nothing more than a HD Remake if you think about it.
There was,is and will never be any work and effort behind a CoD Game - Small maps and new weapon models don't justify the price.
Since MW1 they could have added every CoD as a 10$ Patch and this is a fact! - Otherwise every BF3 Mappack should cost 500$ cause 1 Map is bigger and more beautiful than all CoD Maps combined(you probably could really fit every CoD map in one BF3 Map lol)

^What?

Above post is meant for mantlepiecek

This isn't official. Again, don't get your hopes up people.

Wii U: HD (not full HD) = true HD lawl

Just means 720p vs 1080p.... but its solid 60FPS which is more important anyways and being presented on two screens. Had it been built on WiiU hardware, I'd bet it would be "full HD".

60fps solid is more important. It's why Battlefield Bad Company 2 on Frostbite engine is far superior for me than Battlefield 3 on Frostbite 2 engine. Also that you can blow up everything which is a case for gameplay > graphics any day and twice as better when you actually playing.

Well the parts that are being discussed were already confirmed.

None of the COD on PS360 have been 720p. (Activision or Treyarch) said WiiU would be 720p.
None of the COD on PS360 run on a solid 60fps. (Activision or Treyarch) said WiiU would be 60fps.

Now, the final product hasn't launched and of course its all vaporware until then. However, I didn't notice it was  GAF member created image vs an image from (Activision or Treyarch).

Even though I jump on stuff like this here, I personally don't care all that much. I just want good games on the one console I know I'll own. I'm more focused on what the rest of nextGen will be and how that will or will not affect WiiU's 3rd party support. So far the games I want are coming to it.

ok, so can everyone stop complaining that WiiU is not more powerful?

I mean this is the epitome of a multi-port game with little investment per console.

Yet, with little to no extra work, WiiU has:
- Better visuals (at least 720p where others are more than likely 560p)
- Best frame rate. (constant 60FPS where others will fluctuate depending on game)
- ALL WHILE PUMPING THIS OUT TO TWO SCREENS!!!

- plus the best possible set of controller options.

Yep, yep. Glad they prioritized framerate over pixels. Will be playing with the wiimote, thankyouverymuch.

Not sure why you posted all of that, but OK. Some information is better than nothing.....I suppose.

IW said the Wii U version of Black Ops 2 would be 720p? Oh really? IW is referring to Infinity Ward right?

You do realize that Treyarch is developing Black Ops 2, not Infinity Ward......

Yeah I would LOVE to see your sources, because it seems to me you have no idea what you're talking about.
