I knew Halo 4 was going to be the next game to be ripped apart by fanboys on Metacritic. As I write this, the user score for is 3.6. Is it Bungie fanboys, PS3 fanboys, or Call of Duty fanboys?

Call me crazy, but I think it might be Call of Duty fanboys.

Damn! I saw it last night at 8.0 with 43 reviews, gave it a 10 just to bump it up even though Im not a halo fan :P I just don't like to see games bashed for no reason.

And I think its the COD fans aswell.

I'd say its a mixture between CoD fanboys and Sony fanboys. There are no Bungie fanboys.

Abusing user scores is about the only "power" fanboys have in their arsenal.

More illustration as to why Metacritic needs to stop being used as a gauge as to the success of a game. Too many gamers are worthless children who will bash anything that doesn't fit into their narrow viewpoint of 'what gaming is'.

It's becoming hard, yet again, to call yourself a gamer these days.

Who cares about userscores? They are totally worthless in any case.

It's a shame really because I find it useful comparing critical scores with user scores. For too many, the internet is just a game to be won, and not a source of information and communication.
