The two biggest games of the year are releasing very shortly...it looks pretty clear that Black Ops 2 (360) will outsell Halo 4 however some believe Halo 4 will outsell the PS3 version. So what is your opinion on this? 

My Prediction:

Black Ops 2 (PS3) LT: 13.5 Million

Halo 4 (360) LT: 11.5 million

Based on the pre order charts it seems Halo 4 will outsell Black Ops 2 (PS3) however gamestop has confirmed that Black Ops 2 is the most pre-orderd game in history! Although BO2 is Behind MW3 and BO according to VGC Preorder charts.

Launch:

Black OPS 2 (PS3) - 5.7 million

Halo 4: (360) - 4.6 million

Kinda meaningless comparison but yes, Black Ops 2 on PS3 will clearly outsell Halo 4.

Also we have no idea about the reviews. What if Halo 4 gets Assassin's Creed III-like reviews and fails to reach 90%? If that happens it will be extremely front loaded and have short legs like Gears of War 3.

Gears of War 3 got good reviews though and most people thought it was better than gears of war 2

I'm hearing the Halo 4 campaign is weaker than Halo 3. Mostly due to the confusing campaign...so I doubt it's gonna get 95 +. Although hopefully it will get 90-93!

Gears of War 3 got good reviews though and most people thought it was better than gears of war 2

Yeah I know, and first week sales were much much higher than Gears 2, and yet lifetime sales were smaller.

That's why I believe Halo 4 will need exceptional reviews to have any chance to outsell Blops 2 (PS3). But it won't get those reviews. Very few games will get +90% on Meta this late in a generation.
