As long as both the PS3 and Wii survive this generation all these bashes are fine with me. After looking at Vista, MS needs to ditch their Xbox project and put the developers on making their OS better. They at least make a profit on their os, that can't be said about their Games division.

The Wii and PS3 complement eachother and corner different sides of the market. So a small portion can't decide between the PS3 or Wii, let them. Sony already had their succes at the expense of Nintendo with their PS1 and 2 against the N64 and Gamecube which did significantly worse. It's Nintendos time now, let them have their victory with a well done trick of adding a motion controller and just pimping their gamecube a bit. A brilliant piece of marketing from my point of view. Focus on the 360 and get that overheating piece of crap out of the market.

Any think it would be a good idea if Sony discounted the PS3 by $20 (£10) for working or broken PS2's , this could proove as an insentive to buy a PS3.

I think for many PS2 owners the only real issue is price , once Sony's PS3 is around £200 in the uk (it's currently £300), then i'm sure we'll see a mass migration of PS2 owners to the PS3.

By the way, how come people are so desperate to believe that guy that wrote that one article that 90% of 360 owners were xbox owners (Yes, my awesomeness has allowed me to use "that" 3 times in a sentence and for it to still make some gramatical sense). From my experience (this is around 30 people) the ps2 owners mostly converted to the 360 and the xbox owners converted to the PS3.......

I've already convinced one person to get a PS3 instead of a 360, and I am trying to convince someone to get a PS3 as well as his 360. His choice is an iPod touch or a PS3. But I think now is the time to get at people, as GTA is when many will convert

Why not let people buy what they want to buy through an informed decision about all three consoles? Each console is not for everyone.

 not really as there are many great PS3 games that wont be released on those. Thats why I have a PS3. If I had a 360 90% of the game swill be PC releases in 6 months.
