THE ONLY ONLINE PETITION I SEE THAT WILL WORK IS:

The Bionic Commando one. Since Capcom themself said if their is enough interest shown by people they would do it.

However they never said anything like that about RE5 so as much as I would Love Wii controls I will still get a HD version of the game. Most likely PS3. Havent decided which way to go 360 or ps3. It all depends on what happens with MGS4.

However after seeing that thread by leo-j with that rpg in next gen cell shading i'm starting to swing towards ps3.

If by some change RE5 does come to wii i will get that and a HD version so I get best of both worlds.

Capcom has acknowledged the RE5 for Wii petition so its clear it stands a chance as well.

I love the people who think naysaying this gains anything. What do you stand to lose by letting people at least try?

If you want to play this game, just get a PS3/X360. Face it, the game for HD consoles.

I do want to see a Wii spin-off but I would rather play the main series on the PS3/X360, because I know Capcom will take advantage of the hardware that is provided.

Been saying that for a while, eventually developers have no other option than to bring their main games to Wii. The install base of the HD-consoles isn't big enough (yet?) to account for the highly increased costs. 

Of course Resident Evil will probably sell well, although I wonder if the 360 fanbase will love the games as much as the Nintendo gamers. I think IF RE5 comes to Wii it will be exclusive. No-one is waiting for a worse looking, better playing port. That way people that love RE4Wii will say "it looks better on the other consoles, I don't buy it" and HD-owners will say "It doesn't play as nice as the Wii version, I don't buy it". Of course this remark will stir reactions, but don't forget that RE-fans are quite hardcore and want the dfinitive version of the game (look at RE4Wii sales).

I think chances are still not big, but the longer Capcom waits to release info on the game, the higher the chances of it coming to Wii IMO.

You say RE5 being already in development for the 360/PS3 is a dissadvantage to this cause, but I say it just makes it all the easier as most of the work is already done. Don't try and pretend you know what it takes to port a game or the ability by which such a thing could happen. All you know are numbers and stats given after the fact. You're probably the same people who also said there is no way the Wii could be a success this generation and when you were proven wrong claimed it was just a fad.

There's nothing wrong with being a pesimist, but to so actively try and discourage an effort you assert is hopeless to begin with is somewhat of a contradictory act. You simply just don't want it on the Wii, plain and simple. And for those of you who do want it but doubt it will happen, what harm is it to sign the petition? Power in numbers my friends, power in numbers.
