I did not like the demo either... I thought WTF is this shit?

The graphic is not very good in my idea and it isn't simple to play. Quite Boring.

I thought it looked interesting, but they never released the game in Japan so I couldn't play it. I only have a JP 3DS. They probably could've had a bit more success if they released it here, the biggest market for the 3DS thus far.

What did they expect when the only games who reach the stores are nintendo games and some other games (the majority shovelware) ? I never saw this game or theaterythm or tales of the abyss or code of princess or devil survior overclocked in stores and they expected better sales?

Tales of the abyss actually had decent sales. Not front loaded ones but it has been having pretty good legs.

That game was apparently very undershipped. I know most stores sold out early, and the resale value on it was extremely high for quite a while.

I was interested in HoR when it was announced but once more video of it came out my interest dropped and dropped. I didn't like the end product after playing the demo. There were to many issues for me regarding the graphics, frame rate, menu design, and game length. Not to mention I have issues with certain publishers that will just push games out with trying to sell it. I gives me the impression that the publisher doesn't give a damn about the game. If that is how they feel then why should I and why should I spend my money on it?

I sorry for nSpace that the game didn't sell well since they put time into it but not enough to satisfy me when I played the demo. I'm at a point where I don't have a lot of time to game anymore so what I play has to really grab me. I don't want to waste money.

After just playing the game today, it really does suck that it didn't sell so well. The online still has people on so that's a plus

'Video games are bad for you? That's what they said about rock-n-roll.'

For the ones that don't know, the developers said that they are going to the handheld market for good now.

Seeing those posts about how mediocre the game are and how underwhelming it turned out made me thinking: what games 3rd games we are getting that are better than those? Its funny, because some people said: hey, let then go to mobile. And now the only 3rd party western games that are coming to 3DS are the iOS "crap" that made sucess there.

I ask myself if anyone who disdain of the developer back then would take cut the rope 3DS or angry birds trilogy over a HoR 2.

"Hardware design isn’t about making the most powerful thing you can.
Today most hardware design is left to other companies, but when you make hardware without taking into account the needs of the eventual software developers, you end up with bloated hardware full of pointless excess. From the outset one must consider design from both a hardware and software perspective."

Epic bump...
I actually liked this game...
I never did finish the last few quests though...
I think it's so weird that Square Enix was willing to publish this in the West but not Bravely Default or Dragon Quest VII...
The only other game I can think of that they published was Dream Drop Distance...
Why take a risk like Heroes of Ruin when you could play it safe with Dragon Quest or the two spinoff games???

Have a nice day...

I´m in fact interested in this game. It´s just that there´s so many good games to choose that I just couldn´t give this a chance.
If I find in on a sale, I´d buy it. But the few places I know where the game is available it´s quite expensive.
