I am trying to decide whether I should get Epic Mickey 2 on Wii or WiiU.

Right now, it does not appear to be much difference -- other than SD vs HD and $15.  Plus, I have to use the Gamepad for Player 1 on the WiiU. So I am leaning toward keeping my preorder on the Wii version.

Can someone sway me with information that I have missed.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

Depends whether you care more about graphics, or controls. Personally, I'd go with the Wii version.

$15? The Wii version is $44.99?

It really just comes down to your personal preference. Your best bet is keeping up to snuff on all the relevant information so you can decide what fits you best.

I have not found a lot of info -- so I was doing some crowd sourcing.

Wii

I think you can have both gameplay methods in the Wii U version, both gamepad or wiimote, if not that is pretty dumb. So if this is the case, Wii U version.

Final Ultimate Legendary Earth Power Super Max Justice Future Miracle Dream Beautiful Galaxy Big Bang Little Bang Sunrise Starlight Infinite Fabulous Totally Final Wonderful Arrow...FIRE! - Wonder-Red (The Wonderful101)

I'm getting the Wii version, mostly because I'm not getting a Wii U until March and I'm not waiting that long to play Epic Mickey 2.

Also, the Wiimote worked great in the first game so I want to stick with that.

I'm curious as to how this game will sell across the various platforms. The  Wii version seems to be leading in preorders but if it sells over a long period of time the 360 version might catch up as the Wii is phased out. Also interested to see if it finds a new home on Wii U.

The first Epic Mickey was underrated I felt; yeah, the camera was a pain but its Disney charm, accessible choice and consequence gameplay, beautiful music and visuals, (It escapes me why it doesn't get more praise for its graphics, it looks amazing by Wii standards) and touching story make it good anyway.

In the Wii U version the first player uses the gamepad, and the second player uses the wiimote.

While I enjoyed the first Epic Mickey it had a LOT of issues.  I felt the choice and consequence gameplay was ultimately poor *spoilers maybe throughout post*.  Their seemed to be little difference between a paint playthrough and a thinner playthrough.  It feels like Disney insisted on a happy endind no matter what you did in the game.  The music was awesome, but I don't think the graphics were anything special.  I loved the story, especially with Oswald, but the conclusion wasn't as good as it should have been.  Plus, overall, the gameplay was slightly above average at best.

The game definitely needed a lot of tightening up.  Hopefully they did that here.
