More good news for the people who have preordered many consoles for their resale value. Like me. I hope every store runs out of preorders.

All this time and effort to earn a few dollars? Or lose some dollars if Nintendo produces enough Wii U till christmas ...

If you need money you should invest your money in something more profitable.

Time and effort? It took roughly 5 minutes to preorder those consoles. Also there is no deposit on those preorders. How on earth I would be losing any money at all?

I bet this is the most profitable short term investment for these holidays.

It took a lot longer in the UK, but at least it happened. Will have to see how well the accept it later on. Online and Mature games have to be big over there for it to do well though.

You mean call of duty and fifa? lol.

This is actually much better then I expected. I thought stores wouldn't sell out here because I haven't seen an 'out of stock' sign since kinect came out here. Heck even while 3ds is starting to take up shelves its still not as big as the others. Not in stores at my area anyway.

I like the sound of this. This is good.

One more thing to complete my year = senran kagura localization =D

Amazon UK too lol. Just when the ads start rolling hahaha.

Uninformed customer: ''Excuse me sir, can I order the new Nintendo console''

Retailer employee: ''I apologize sir, we are sold out for the next month. Nintendo sends their regards''

Uninformed customer: ''Wtf, I just saw the ad. This aint right. Nintendo is doomed, you just lost a customer.''

3 months later.... ''I GOT MY WII U'' says the customer

good news for nintendo i guess

Come on, we all know that Nintendo will ship like 10 consoles worldwide for launch to make it look like the console is in high demand.

Ongoing bet with think-man: He wins if MH4 releases in any shape or form on PSV in 2013, I win if it doesn't.

It's what they do.

After all, as any MBA worth his salt knows, it's better to create the illusion of your product selling out, rather than actually selling as many as you can and making money--businesses, As Everyone KnowsTM, are in it for the marketing and not the money.

(At least that's what the Internet tells me.)

I thought they were buying their own systems to make it look like there is a demand.

They could be cunning enough to combine both strategies. I also heard that Nintendo paid Penelope Cruz in Wii U consoles and is booking it as consoles sold.

Or maybe shortage is created by people like you buying many consoles thinking they will get a lot of money off it. With rumors of the console selling out, there is high demand amongst resellers like you, but is there high enough demand amongst the REAL customers for resellers to turn a profit ?

BTW, Nintendo could easily trick people like you by offering a limited amount of consoles for preorder, then flooding the market with stock on launch day.
