Thus, the problem with backward compatibility.

This is a very true statement that I was thinking about myself. I can't really see myself buying anymore PSP games because they work digitally on my Vita. Backwards compatibility really does quicken the death of last generation consoles.
This is probably just a GameStop thing. No way Nintendo is going to discontinue it right after a pricecut. Didn't Reggie say they see the Wii still having life in it at E3?

Wouldn't the more accurate thing to say be, "Gamestop.com currently does not have Wii consoles in stock"? Your link shows the "usually ships in 24 hours" filter turned on, which eliminates all of the Wii consoles from the screen that Gamestop sells new but are "currently unavailable".

Really does look like "currently unavailable". Maybe they are waiting for the new bundles? But if they aren´t selling new Wiis anymore, it is the beginning of what I stated a few days back (that the Wii might not make it until a $99 pricepoint due to the console being discontinued).

Oh it has nothing to do with a bias for Sony. I mean all the hate you talk on here about Nintendo and you always defending Sony made believe it was based on exact thing.
On Topic: Gamestop still sells new consoles of wii at stores and they probably are going to sell new during the holidays as things like this happen before.

They actually do have some stock available of overpriced bundles:

Wow. Didn't think Nintendo would kill off the Wii this early.
Looks like the Vita will sell more this holiday! Yay!
