I think the disappointment around Medal of Honor will help BO2 in the final stretch. I myself swore that I wouldn't buy CoD again but the MP of MoHW is so bad that I seriously think about preordering BO2 in a hurry.

I remember last year when MW3 was released and sales were slowing down compared to BLOP and people were saying it was cod fatigue.

The result : MW3 broke another sales record.

So, even if VG chartz pre order data is thrustworthy, the game probably will still sell more or even the same as MW3

Maybe a lot of people waiting to see WiiU to decide where to get it?

 Ok.  Both Black Ops 2 platforms are lagging behind Modern Warfare 3 for week 1 sales for North America.  Is this still undertracked?

You cant do better EVERY year indefinitely. It was bound to peak at some point.

But seeing the sales.......its still the most popular franchise this gen outside Mario.

Now, I'm going to predict that Black Op 2 (all platforms total) will sell at least 3 million less than MW3.

i hope the series starts to decline, it doesn't deserve to sell like this no more as Activision clearly cut corners when making them. They are releasing very buggy and potentially broken games now, I may have bought black ops II myself but I think it will be my last. The series is tired now and starting to get old. And why should I bother buying games that have network based problems like Black Ops II, it's shouldn't of been released until such problems were fixed in the first place.

I wonder though, in the future COD games fall by 50% they will still sell around 12-14 million copies...
