Im not so sure about the bolded.  Thats your opinion, but it seems like it will be the best in the series and Connor looks like he will be a badass.  According to a lot of previews for the game it seems to be shaping up to be a pretty badass game. But we will see. I'm gonna say AC3 will get anywhere between a 90-95 metacritic, but this thread is not about AC.

On topic: I was not that into halo when I played the first one, but I will have to say that Halo 4 will probably get a 92 and if some reviewers are more harsh than I think it could go as low as 89, but I think it will stay in the 90s.


I am VERY excited with AC3 and I agree completely with what you said. That said. I doubt. I dont know why! Maybe because AC1 had so much hype and it to some extent failed (So repetetive). AC2 was ..better but I still didnt like that character. Revelations and Brotherhood were more like expansions, well I mean, they were not a whole new entry like AC3. But I hope you can understand my scepticism. Despite it all: I have preorderd the collectors edition and I think it looks stellar. I just have this instinct that I want to keep my hopes in check. So we will see!

I completely understand what your feeling because Revelations and Brotherhood didn't really do much with the story and were not necessary.  AC2 was great, IMO, but it was still a little repetetive like AC1.  But, ya I completely agree with you that the WHOLE game may not be as good as what some of the previews are because of the lackluster, but still good, last two games.  We probably should not derail the thread by talking about AC.

I cant explain it, I just cant. If it gets above 90 meta, color me surprised. My guess is mid to high 80s.


after watching gameplay videos of AC3, theres no way its going to flop! this is the biggest AC yet and it looks amazing. the lowest i would go with is 88 meta score.

Lmao I love how you said based off of hype haha Halo 3 is still probably the best FPS this generation, I don't think that is hype.  Halo comes with very complete games.  Reach was a let down to many including me.

Regardless I see this game getting anywhere between 89-94 and yes I do believe it will get the GOTY

considering last year bombardment of fps and now the competition between October and November which includes the upcoming Black Ops II, Medal of Honour Warfighter, Far Cry 3, and the recent release of borderlands 2 , Dishonored. I gotta say somewhere along the lines critics are going to be exhausted with the number fps coming out in such a short period. Halo 4 will probably get along the lines of 90-94 which seems to be the typical mark for a halo game, I can't see it stretching across 95+ unless it has introduced something that is truly ground breaking in terms of graphics or gameplay.

You seem very confident about that... Keep in mind that AC3 is the type of game that can get way better reviews... Nobody is giving FPS those amazing scores anymore because market is saturated.

Exactly. Its saturated.

I don't know what it is but I believe AC3 will be seen as a slight disappointment and Halo 4 will be the saviour of FPS .

My guess is 87-89 maaaybe 90. But I see Halo 4 not falling any short of 94 (and probably not higher than 96).

Last of Us of God of War Ascension will definitely be in the contenders spot next year. Halo is so lucky Last of Us got pushed back.
