Forums - Sony Discussion - Have you pre-ordered PS All-Stars yet?

Tagged games:

If you haven't, why not? I always hear people complaining about "copy n paste" games every year. Another Call of Duty, another Assassin's Creed...etc..etc. Here you have what is the dream game for Playstation fans and it is not being pre-ordered. This looks to be a great new IP and it deserves to sell. Now, I haven't played it, but I can already tell it will be a good game.

Are you waiting for the public beta to try the game out? Why are you skeptical? Did your favorite character not make it in? Would future DLC convince you?

Yeah, but it was on the Wii. It was call Super Smash Bros.

For reals, no. I am way too into Harvest Moon and Pokemon this fall to get into another game...

Ask stefl1504 for a sig, even if you don't need one.

I agree. People want to complain that Sony doesn't listen and that they have no clue what the fans want. But I've been hearing for over 5 years that people want a PlayStation focused brawler. Sony gives it to us and people won't pre-order it, despite the game actually being good (been part of the whole beta process for this game for a long time now).

I have it pre-ordered (got the PS3 version pre-ordered so I am also getting the Vita version too).

Heard it was terrible. Also heard it didn't have 80 characters. That's just lame.

I am skeptical because the beta was terrible and the art style too. The characters don't mesh well, the super sytem is annoying, the maps are surprisingly boring despite the fact that they have a great idea for crossover maps, and keeping up with your character on the screen is so unneccesarily harder than it should be. Also, controls were weird and not in a way that I makes it a good kind of unique and the characters roster is lame. Could have been great but...I guess they could delay the launch, add more characters to the game, make a distinctive art style and match characters to it, make better maps, and add alternate fighting mechanics such as health bars or something other than just the super system. I also noticed that there were rarely any items on the battlefield in PASBR. In fact I don't recall touching anything except bubbles in the LBP level and I don't think they did anything. Maybe there weren't even any items in the beta...Don't worry about those, I don't use them ever in Smash and wouldn't in PASBR.

Do you even own a PS3? Because if you don't then this question isn't geared towards you. No offense.

i played the private beta and it was actually really fun but then the news of the final roster came out and seeing there is no crash and the fact that i have xbox, vita and other ps3 games to get just doesnt seem worth it to pay full price at launch for 20 characters. I mean arent people worried that some important characters that help define sony arent in the game? New dlc characters wont bring in that many new customers seriously if you think about it as the inital hype is what gets people to pre order and buy.

I haven't even played this game yet and I know more than you....those bubbles give you AP.

I don't know wtf you're talking about it not having a good artstyle. The game is based on different franchises. Each character has its own unique art style and so do the stages. Yeah, the game is cartoony but in a good way. Having gore in a game like this just doesn't make sense. Oh and the games UI and stuff isn't final. What you played is a beta which is months old.

Actually this game will have legs. It won't be frontloaded.

It will sell over time. With new DLC characters and stages, they will keep the hype going. You're telling me if they announced Crash as DLC that you wouldn't be temped to buy the game right then and there? Hell by the time they start doing DLC the game will cost $40 or less. Or better, on Black Friday Buy 2 get 1 free...

bubbles? there are the ones that help build up your meter. The level locations were the best part of the game in the beta build i played, i did in enjoy the fact that they were constantly changing and moving around which made it less predictable.
