I live in a fairly major city in the United States (Detroit, MI) and I haven't witnessed a single advert from Sony. No commercials, no billboards, no flyers, etc. I haven't even seen website advertisements. This is strange because I saw advertisements everywhere for the original Slim in 2009. Sony played at least three different Kevin Butler ads in late 2009. But for the Superslim, it's like they're not trying.

Could this be a result of the Kevin Butler issue? Perhaps they're waiting for all of the bundle variations are released? Perhaps they're waiting for PABR and LBP Karting are released? Either way, they've been pretty much absent in my area. No one even knows that there was a redesign. Not even my gamer friends who are usually informed of things like this. This just seems strange.

Where do you live and how is Sony promoting the Superslim in your area?

Hopefully, a lot of people respond so we can get a fairly widespread assessment of the situation. 

What's "super slim"? New Sony game?

zero, noppes, nada, nothing, which still is more then they are promoting the Vita..

None whatsoever. Lot's of Vita ads right now though.

So I expect the super slim ads to show up in about six months.

Nothing at all on the Super Slim in Western Canada that I've seen.

I've seen one Vita ad about two weeks ago though.

Sony hates the thought of good advertisement so they try their best to do a good job in advertising unsuccessfully. They failed horribly when Jack Tretton hired Kevin Butler and were making decent commercials. Jack almost lost his job by making this move but KB's Resistance 3 commercial and the whole LLP thing kind of started going downhill so Jack Tretton was luckily spared

I'm sure Sony is going to do a fantastic job with their upcoming plans to unsuccessfully advertise PS3 Super Slim, Battle Royal and Little Big Karting. They've already done a terrific job with Twisted Metal and StarHawks advertisement

I don't watch TV much, so I don't know much about TV ads but I think I saw one online.

I have no idea, I don't watch TV anymore. I have seen the Vita Madden game ad watching an IGN video recently. I can't answer the poll. I do see physical ads for the 3DS all the time. I bet there is an outstanding discrepancy between the amount of marketing budget some of these systems get.

Jay, good man from Michigan. I made the mistake of moving to Texas but these last two day's temps have been in the 40's/50's and I'm house sitting for my father and he has cabin like decorations...I feel like I'm vacationing up there. I suppose Detroit's nothing like northern Michigan and the UP. Still your mention makes me jealous.

EDIT: I was in a gamestop and didn't see anything on the superslim. I was in a hurry so I forgot to look/ask for it specifically even though I wanted to see it.

The latest advertisement I saw regarding Playstation (apart from Fifa 13 for PS3) was a Vita commercial about one month after its release. They have been completely silent ever since.

It should be noted though that I only watch like 30 minutes of TV or less per day.
