The wii will have comparable numbers, if the Wii dies hard then it probably will not pass the PS1 in LT sales. So I think the Wii will have good shipment sales. It is hard to choose one, but I think the vita might still pull it off if sales happen to spike.

You mean "who is going to lose least?"

Wii is going to be less of a loser this Christmas. Vita will take last place. Vita has games coming, but Wii is MUCH less expensive and is still a hot item during the Holidays. I don't think Wii U will fully usurp it until next year.

Guess what? I still think the Wii is going to take it. Even with the Wii U on the market, the dying Wii is going to have great sales because it's going to be priced cheaper than dirt.

Make sure we bump this thread in January just so I can say "I told you so."

Are you talking worldwide or a particular region? Also, what is the "holiday season" window?  When does it begin and end?  Does it start at black friday and last until mid-January, for example.

This is going to offer a great barometer of the Vita's health if the Wii DOES still manage to take the title between those two...or if the fight is even that close, for that matter. I, personally, have no idea. I think the Vita may be able to pull it off, but, who knows? Stranger things have happened. Who knows, maybe the Wii will pull down even better numbers than the WiiU. If the analysts have shown us anything, its that there's almost no way to predict the minds of the Holiday Mobs.

I think the Vita will "win," if only because it actually has a holiday lineup.

Like I said before, neither Vita or Wii gain nothing from this fight.

If Vita wins, it'll be against a dead system, no merits here.
If Wii wins it will be because Vita had terrible holiday sales. It won't be my its own merits, as it will still be dead.

But i do think the Vita migh outsell the Wii this christmas. Granted... neither will sell very well.

I'm thinking Wii honestly. It'll be close(which is sad) but does the Wii need more holiday titles when it's up against the Vita? Its exclusives would be lucky to get pass 6 million combined. Seriously Just Dance 4 will surely sell more than all of them.
