To be fair the last decent year for the Wii in terms of sales and quality games was 2010.Nintendo then just gave up supporting the console ,and 3rd parties were gone even before that. I hope people realise this when they will be posting thier "i told you so" comments on this disscussion board. The HD systems will pass the Wii in their respective terrotories, but the Wii will still win worldwide sales, the Wii had a shelf life but the HD systems were built for a longer lifecycle, do you remember the 10 year lifespan comments at the begining of this gen. That seems to be happening with the PS360.

Wanna elaborate a little bit more, because people were making some off the wall predictions just a few years ago. Wii selling 200 mil, having more than 50% market share. Funny thing is, some of the more rational people were trying to tell them how wrong they were even back in those days, for some of the same reasons you mentioned, so yes I think when someone says "i told you so" they know exactly what they mean.

Im curious to know how many PS3s and 360s are repeat purchases due to system failure. My old nextdoor neighbour is on his third PS3 and I know loads of people sho are on their second xbox. My 5 year old Wii is still going strong.

Make bets based on this faulty data here is not smart. The numbers here are wrong close but wrong. And Nintendo can drop the price of the wii to $99 and make this whole thread worthless. So keep trolling. And stop basing facts on this site. Because the numbers may be adjusted and prove just how full of troll you are.

Starting to lose it, huh?

But not willing to bet. I rest my case.

My wii from 2006 are also still going strong.. :) and my frind is on his  third 360. and second ps3..

But even then.. don't think 360 or ps3 will win any regions.. but it's not total imposiple.. if nintendo not make a 99$ bundle.. then mayby.. :)

At this point, it's seems there is a good chance it could happen and not happen. There are a few variables, like Wii getting a price cut to $99 or even less. I think that move would stave the PS360 off successfully and give the Wii another solid holiday in 2013. If things stay the same, then the Wii is dead and the two may very well surpass it in those respective markets.

Nintendo should cut the price soon though. And I think the Wii will still have a solid holiday this year.

@ oniyide- My "i told you so" comment was aimed really toward the Wii haters that are just waiting for it to die. I can tell you now that they are sat by their keyboards waiting for it to take its last breath :D . I was in the " pleasantly surprised" camp when the Wii started to really take off..honestly 200 million lol

fair enough, I was always inbetween. I dont really care to much for a system's sales as it doesnt really have a bearing on the library it receives(this gen pratically proved this). But I knew that it wouldnt have the marketshare that the PS2 had which was unusual itself. Simply for the fact that I knew the Wii would be missing some of the big guns and it would hurt it in the long run, which it kinda did a bit.

Oniyide youve hit the nail on the head mentioning that the Wii would be missing some of the big guns..its lack of power obviously contributed to that, which brings me to my next point. I am what you might call a Nintendo enthusiast (hate the term fanboy), but there were plenty of games i was missing out on, so i eventually stumped up for a PS3 so i could play Arkham city,Ninja Gaiden etc. I bet a lot of other Nintendo fans have purchased one of the HD consoles as well to play great games that were not possible on the Wii. Im just glad Nintendo have suceeded this gen with the Wii and get great joy with the WiiU too.

Why bet? I told you they are not outselling around the world. And your comment on my comments does not change that. So troll going to troll. You can not change what is going on in the world. Plus most on the people buying the systems already have them. So who are all these millions of magical people who are going to buy the 6+ year old systems?

38% of the voters think that Wii won't be outsold in any region.. wow. :)
