1. How are they the same? One is a false statement which can be disproved by facts. The other is purely an opinoin. 

But yes, I do see smug fans in other forums, but I am sure to not base my actions on THIS site based on people from OTHER sites. It makes no sense to treat VGChartz Sony fans like YouTube Sony fans.

2. You haven't told me how Sony fans 'brag'. How so? 

3. Why can't we say they are AAA. Most of the times, they are AAA (meaning high production cost). As for the bragging about games that other companies cannot produce, that attitude usually mirrors how well that particular company is doing. For example, last year, Sony fans were bragging because there were lots of AAA games released. This year, you see very little bragging because they're not many AAA games being released. Using your logic that people can brag when they have a reason to, then people should have the right to brag when their companies does release a lot of games.

4. I'm not sure about that. I really only frequent this site. And on this, Nintendo fans and Sony fans are pretty much neck & neck, sometimes varying depending on which company has been releasing the most news. Whatever you see on other sites, it makes no sense to base your mentality here on fanboys from some other site.

Mostly I just gotta say on here its neck to neck with all 3 camps.....I think I fill most of the void on the 360 side :P

But when I say Sony fans got the majority numbers, I do offcoruse refer to the gaming internet as a whole. For you to only refer to this site, it is a mere piece to the whole puzzle. Should have clarified this before. Despite my bias, you should seriously take my word that in general you have at least 5x smug PS3 fans for every 1 360 fan.

Hence my origional point on this thread, I wish they were more humble and didnt gang up on everybody else. Only bad Sony news can silence them for a day or two.

it depends on how that specific fan base to that company is. If they keep on hating and throwing dirt on the company that I love then I actually get happy to see bad news coming to them! its like a wake up call not to be an idiot towards others as one day you might end up in a worse position!

I want all consoles to stay in business but don't play dirty!

I personally find Sony fans absolutely Repugnant and Smug and any chance I get to laugh at their Overlord Sony and

humiliate them I do, just to knock them off their pedestal into the real world. I never waste an advantage to

to kick Sony while they are down I like to think of it as justice.

I do, but it's usually when I have something against the company itself. I love seeing Apple and EA struggle.

When it comes to the big three, I don't really want any of them to fail because competition and variety is good, but next gen, I wouldn't mind if Microsoft happened to fail. The Xbox brand is far too similar to the PlayStation brand and with the Wii U apparently trying to capture the hardcore audience, if only one of them could survive next gen I'd definitely choose PlayStation. Nothing against the fans, I'm just not a huge fan of Microsoft.

When it comes to SONY, they've had far too much shit on their plate the past 6 years for me to feel any resentment against them, and they've tried their hardest to please and regain their customers. I think SONY haters from the PS1 + PS2 era need to realise this and bury the hatchet, all they're causing is fan backlash (it's a vicious cycle).

As for Nintendo, I've got absolutely nothing against them (minus the few dodgy dealings with Capcom the past decade). They do their own thing, they don't step on anyone's toes and they're solely dedicated to gaming. And while they do tire out some of their franchises quite a bit, they do have the best 1st party titles in the business and put a lot of effort into them. A year ago I would have said that I had absolutely nothing against the fans either, but with the recent wave of Vita trolling and 3DS success, I would be lying if I said I wouldn't have a semi if something bad happened to the 3DS.

But to answer your question, it brings me pleasure in general when cocky and smug people get whats coming to them. It helps me with the satisfaction that the gaming internet will be a better place for the rest of gamers.

It's ironic that you hate Sony fans, when you are the worst kind of fanboy I've seen. You hate them, but you are just like them (a little worst I would say). Plus, those videos... don't get me started.

OT: Personally, I think that enjoying the fail of a company is just ridiculous. Specially if your aim is to win a non-existant war against some cocky fanatics... come on people, just get a life. Console Wars aren't serious business. Don't be pathetic. No one needs internet heroes who put fans in their place...

Ive been visiting this site since it began and Ive always seen this guy post in profanity and hatred. I think I do have a misdirection of disliking. To be honest I dislike Sony B/c of my hatred of their fanboys. But really I think Sony can serve as a really good competitor but their fans are just... abusive.

I totally agree with you.

As you siad if you don't deserve to be or can't compete in the race then no complaints when you fall by the wayside. It is the natural way of things.

However to want a company like say for example, Apple (who have achive their success on the decisions they have made) to fail just because you don't like them says a lot about a person's character. I am not Freud but that person seemed to be the envious, irrational type. How can you hate success? More so if that success is in your own country. Weird.

You also highlighted an important human factor. Jobs. In these times the last thing I would wish on anyone is to lose their job because a company tanked.

From that point of view I hope companies in crisis (like Sony) become more competitive and successful because with the job market the way it is in many western countries there are pitifulyl few new companies coming through to pick up the slack of the jobless.
