it doesn't matter, the Wii U sold out & you couldn't get 1 even if you changed your mind

So much fanboism here, god.

To be honest (and coming from a Nintendo fan) the WiiU doesn't really adds much to the existing consoles, I mean yeah the gamepad is nice and all but I have yet to see a game in which is used in creative ways not only maps/inventory/etc.
This reminds me when the Wii came out and everyone was "This is a revolution, it will change how we play games" and the majority of the games only used wii mote either as a pointer or as a wiggle-a-ton machine. It will not surprise me if the gamepad will be used only for minimal things like I mentioned before.

As for the games in HD, yeah it would be pretty cool to see IP from nintendo in HD, but seeing Mario U and Pikmin 3 im not really that sure...

there's alot more to Wi U then what you've just said, you just spotted the obvious just like everyone else who don't do the research on the system therefore that's ignorance

Wow a major subjective shitstorm argument is going on up in this thread.

Newsflash you are all wrong. j/k

I don't blame people for being skepitcal. I like Nintendo, but if I didn't like the N64, GameCube, or especially the Wii, I would be cautious with Wii U.

The onus is on Nintendo to prove this console is for non-Nintendo fans, and not some platform that runs out of gas (and content) after 3 years and has mostly a catalog of Nintendo stuff as its best wares + some ok third party stuff.

This has pretty much been the case since the SNES era ended 15 years ago now.

Of course if you like Nintendo franchises, then what's the debate? You're going to have to buy a Wii U to play those franchises.

Isn't the gamepad the selling point for the console? Everytime nintendo presented the Wii U they were really heavy trying to mark the gamepad as revolutionary.

Putting aside the gamepad, what are the things that make the Wii U substantialy different from the HD consoles? Remember Nintendo is trying to appeal the "hardcore" market, the one that already have a HD console, so what does the WiiU offers to make those people buy the console?

Really, being a fan from Nintendo doesn't mean I have to like everything they do. Don't get me wrong, I will eventually get a Wii U but that's probably for Bayonetta 2 than from the gamepad.

In my local gamestop they haven't even started taking pre-orders yet. So your point is invalid.
