What a great thread, Jay!

I will totally get this game if it comes to Wii U. I'll read the non-Hitman section later!

Tagged for later.

This thread needs a bump, and conveniently there is a 20 minute Q&A with the developers by Gamespot.

Although it is totally expected, I cannot understand the logic of the developer for having no plans to bring it to wiiU, since silent assassin the game has dwindled in popularity among gamers ( I thought blood money would have been the last), hell most of the people on this site seem to have never heard of it. You would think the developer or publisher would want to get on most platforms as possible.

Edit- Maybe Jay should put not coming to wiiU in the thread title since anything with wii on it gets popular

It's likely that they don't have confidence in their ability to make a decent port. I've been following the developers and they've been incredibly busy making constant changes. I dont think they would have even had the time to do so.

But they are developers that's their job, the port doesn't have to come out the exact same time as the others just within a reasonable time period from them. As I said this game is not a sure seller, for all we know it might not even pass a million in sales (I sure hope it does though), the wiiu has been announced over a year now someone could have said "hey you think we should get some development kits for that".

Their job is to sell games. They don't have to make ports for certain systems if they don't think its worth the resources.

That makes no sense Hitman has not been a major selling game on any platform for a long while, if the game does not sell well  the franchise will probably be canned .I repeat hitman does not have an astounding sales record  on any platform do you understand that? It makes the most sense to put it on as many platforms as possible to gather as much sales as possible.

I defintely do want to see the series canned because of lack of sales and poor choices.

Again, you don't know the exact circumstances of the team. Ports are not always beneficial to developers. Who knows what's going on with them? Not you. Just because you release a port doesn't automatically lean you make more money. In many cases, you make less money. There an infinite number of factors that can affect a decision like this (lack of time, lack of experience, incompetence, maybe they waiting until the Wii U builds a larger base, etc). You don't know dude. You just don't know. I'm pretty sure they've weighed those factors and have reached the conclusion that itd be more safe to not release a port, at least not on time with the PS3 & 360.

Right now that seems like a more level headed response rather than "Their job is to sell games. They don't have to make ports for certain systems if they don't think its worth the resources." truth is we honestly do not know. But if I had to take a gamble as a developer/publisher I would have thrown my hat in the wiiu ring.

Because if this game sells as good as blood money this will be the last offical hitman game thread you ever make.
