Oh man, I really have fond memories of the Wii =)

I remember coming home to my dad in early 2007, and my baby brother had just gotten the Wii - and Zelda: TP. Oh man, it looked great!!! I started to play almost right away. I used to come around a few times every week just to play TP. It would take until 2009/2010 for me to actually beat it - and it's the first Zelda I bet!

I also remember playing Wii Sports in 2007. Haha boy did we have fun with that =D And then my bro got Wii Fit. We used to beat each others high score all the time! Me, my bro and out nephew. We got bored with it when we started to cheat =p

And then we have all those hours we poured into Rock Band and Guitar Hero! hahaha I can't remember all the times we played "Highway star", and how excited we were when we finally finished the whole song!!

And I remember Zelda: SS. I got it at launch as a birthday gift from my gf and my bros =) First launch game I ever got! Haha I sat with that game the whole weekend :D Second Zelda game I bet.

And finally I remember playing NSMBWii with my gf =) I don't think I'll be able to go back playing on my own now... It's so much more fun when you can share it =D

Wii actually turned me on on consoles again. I hadn't played one since PS1/N64 actually. I skipped the whole 6th generation, only playing strategy games on PC. So, thank you Wii for getting me back into gaming =)

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

So WiiU is coming very soon and a vast majority of Nintendo gamers will be shifting their attention to the next generation, i want to know your best Wii moments... Is it certain games that gave you the wow factor, or seeing motion control gaming for the first time etc etc here are my faves

1, Getting non gamers interested- I know a lot is made of the Wii being a bit casual blah blah blah, but one of the things that made me stand back and take notice of the Wii was when one Christmas we had a bit of a family get together. My mum, Dad , aunts and uncles were having a blast playing on Wii sports and Mario and Sonic olympics. These people normally wouldnt give a damn about games consoles, but here they were getting ultra competetive with each other, having fun, lots of laughter, and as i watched i thought wow Nintendo have really got this one spot on.

2, Mario Galaxy games- What can i say, these games are a masterpiece and full justification for owning a Wii alone. When i thought it couldnt get any better with Galaxy 1, Galaxy 2 comes along and was as good if not better than the original. With unbelievable level design the games just ooze class, and still amaze me to this day.

3, Pointer controls on fps- I know there is a divide on whether people prefer dual analouge or pointer controls, but some of my best Wii gaming moment have come from shooters that utilize the pointer controls. It just feels so natural to me and also very satifying, as it takes a good degree of skill to become proficient at this. Games like Metroid Prime 3, Goldeneye 007, COD, Medal of honor heroes 2 and even both Conduit games have great controls that just make the games so much fun to play. I play shooters on my PS3, and although they look jaw dropping, they dont have as much fun factor as the Wii shooters due to the controls.

1. Mario Galaxy

2. FPS-Pointer-Controls

3. Pointer Controls for other games (such as Pikmin1+2, Mario Galaxy, etc., they showed how much better pointer controls for many games are).

4. Controller! Wiimote+Nunchuk are much better to handle than a old fashioned gamepad. You can sit more relaxed.

5. Fragile Dreams, Silent Hill: Shattered Memories (finally: video games designed with mature gamers in mind, haven't found many of them on PS360 or Wii)

6. Showing other people games like Wii Sports (Resorts) and see their astonishment

7. Xenoblade Chronicles! Truly one of the best games I ever played.

Amen to Xenoblade, it really is a special game..should have added that to my list too :)

Wii was the first console I camped out for but it was because of Zelda TP is i could not wait another day more to be able to play it. it was awesome getting back home and trying the Sports game out a bit but was to tiered to play Zelda and I wanted to play it while I was fully awake!

loved the game and I exaggerated the motion moves with the sword even though I soon found out that you could waggle it. Riding Epona and swinging that sword was tons of fun!

then came Metroid Prime 3 with great pointer aiming! amazing game but i still can't beat the last boss!! damn you!! I only beat the first Prime last boss lol

Then cam Mario Galaxy! such an amazing and unforgettable time I had with it! Just amazing!
Galaxy 2 was even more awesome!

Monster tri hunter was amazing and one the harder games I have played but the satisfaction beating a monster felt so great!

Then came Zelda SS which truly used the motion controls the way they should have been from the start of the Wii generation! simply amazing game!

that's not including the great fun I've had with friends and family with Wii Fit, Wii Sports and other great games I've enjoyed alone

    R.I.P Mr Iwata :'(

Its great. I was even close to changing my avatar!

Still need to get a real start on my 2nd playthrough though and pick up the GC/DS games!

for me it is getting it on PAL launch day with TP, the hype of a new Nintendo console and a new Zelda is even now unparalleled
