Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Who is NOT Buying WiiU? And Why?

After the recent hyped Nintendo conference on the WiiU many peoples opinion about the system changed, including mine. It went from a no-buy to a definitely buy at some point.

What about the rest of you...is anyone still NOT gonna buy the WiiU? If so why? And what do you need Nintendo to do for you to buy it?

Me, because it is too expensive and none of the launch games interest me in the slightest

They sold out pre-orders. It's not really a choice.

Did you buy a PS360 after they were cheaper than $299?

If I didn't already preorder it, I would say because they haven't shown Waverace U yet. :(

I really want that game.

But the 2nd best comic book movie ever taught me that no matter who we are, no matter how hard it is...we always have a choice.

They lied.

I'm still not going to to get it. Maybe after a price drop I will. I still feel I don't know enough about the console to justify buying it. I want to see how others react to the console after purchasing it, and several months after. I got burned with the Wii and I don't want that to happen again.
Also, the WiiU is reminding me of the Vita, so I think it's better to wait. Example - $350 for a Nintendo console seems a lot to pay for me since I would only play it for certain games once in a while.

Playstation All-Stars is one of the best games I've played this gen, and is the most fun I've had in a game this gen.

I personally don't care for Nintendo's first party games. All the 3rd party games like COD, AC, etc and more are available on PS360.

I'm waiting until Sony and MS announce their new consoles, which I think will be much better. Once all 3 are out in the market, I'll buy whichever is the most feature rich and has the most support/games. I have made the mistake of falling for the Wii hype last gen; that won't happen again.

All of this goes out of the window if Nintendo releases a pokemon mmo. Then I'll buy Wii U with my eyes closed.

I will buy one once the premium model falls under £200 and the pathetic storage space is increased.
