(scroll down to the dude with She Hulk avvy)

When will developers fucking learn? NINTENDO IS NOT THE PLACE FOR THESE KINDS OF GAMES.

Nintendo ALWAYS does this. They release a new console, realize that they're still hounded by the retarded kiddie/casual gamer image they beefed up from their last console, they try getting a few hardcore M-rated games on their new system, ALL of which fail to find their audience, and then they finally say "fuck it" and go back to releasing shitty toothless games for soccer moms and 9 year olds.

Except now they're going to sacrifice a great franchise in the process of doing this. If this game sells poorly (and it will), it'll all be Nintendo's fault, and then we'll never see another Bayonetta game again. Honestly I think they would've been better off just leaving the franchise as it was than having to release this black stain on the series. Sega's going attribute its poor sales to a lack of interest in Bayonetta and not the fact that Nintendo's demographic is a COMPLETE MISMATCH for this game.

I really hope someone blows up Nintendo HQ.

Do we really really need another thread for posting over the top fanboy reactions?  We have two already because they're just barely different from one another.

It was a reaction from a non-Nintendo fan, after all. I'm running on a schadenfreude high i haven't gotten in about 2 years or so...

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Bayonetta 2 was a nice surprise, though not nearly enough to get me to bite on its own. But the Platinum/Nintendo relationship is promising, and if it signals that Nintendo wants to get back into making crazy action games like they used to instead of all this lifestyle software garbage from the current generation, then I'm all for it. Even if they don't improve their first party output but just manage to snag the lion's share of Japanese third party support, I could see the Wii U being my next console depending on what Sony dies does. I really only ever buy one console per gen (not counting this gen), so I'll wait to see how the PS4 turns out before I make a decision.

That controller is still a remarkably stupid gimmick, though.

Tecmo-Koei's bringing a Fist of the North Star to the console, aren't you, like, contractually obligated to buy it or something?

Not when it's also coming to a console that doesn't even know I already own it.

I mean. The system looks more solid than the Wii and its at least heading in the right direction.

But, no way in hell I'm holding a big clunky freaking ipad to play a video game.

Nah, I wont be buying. Nintendo IPs and their characters lost my interest long ago and now I find them a bit too one-dimensional - too cute and cuddly and good. Bayonetta is not a game I have played and I dont really care either way (though it was a very smart move on Nintendo's part) and their other exclusives dont interest me either. Until I see some really compelling new more mature IPs from Nintendo, I dont see myself ever buying this. And i dont think that is likely.

....meh. Its about the games at the end of the day and there is nothing in the launch line up or even after that that interest interest me, nothing that i couldnt already get for ps3and or PC. Yes there is B2 but i didnt like the original or any PG games for that matter. I do like the direction, more GC than WIi and thats a good thing IMHO. will get one eventually, just waiting for Zelda and Smash

Bayonetta is a good game but a weak draw to get me away from current gen consoles which are providing a lot of the same titles that will be available to the Wii U. Im more drawn to Sony's list of characters and variety. Nintendo lost my attention almost completely this gen. Hopefully this gen brings newer IP's that draw me to Nintendo and Microsoft because they both are killing me there.

I do think Bayonetta 2 being Wii U exclusive is being over dramatized. Its a cool series, but it aint Metal Gear, FF or MH or something. Hopefully Nintendo can change that though

I doubt Nintendo will touch the art direction of the game. Based on the core installed base on the Wii buying third party exclusives I feel really bad for Bayonetta 2. Maybe Nintendo is trying to draw Japan back into large scale consoles rather than the handhelds. I dunno.

It's not for me, I'll wait for next gen consoles.

Oh and by the way PS360 was NEVER going to get Bayonetta 2 anyway since Sega was not willing to put the money, B2 is only happening because Nintendo is willing to lose some money to gain some hardcore credibility.
