Forums - Gaming Discussion - Gamers bombard Platinum Games with hate-filled messages over Bayonetta 2 on Wii U

They think all 3rd parties are bound to keep their games exclusive to your console of choice?

Many of those might be the same who laughed their arses out when Nintendo lost the Final Fantasy franchise exclusivity back in the Play Station days.

haha!

That mysterious Gioconda Reggie stare goes with everything.

You know I wanted to make a thread about these very same comments, but forgot to with the MASSIVE FLOOD of Wii U news.

Still, might as well enjoy the best kind of entertainment... No not video games :P

MELTDOWNS!!!

I just can't imagine the CATACYSMIC NUCLEAR MELTDOWNS that would've destroyed the internet if "Bayonetta 2" was replaced by...

Grand Theft Auto 5

or Metal Gear Solid 5

or Final Fantasy Verses XIII (> 5 Years In Development) or XV

man so much hate i can't remember feeling this mad during the gamecube days when many games did not get released on the cube but were on xbox and ps2

You know, outside of the darker parts of the internet I bet the majority of Bayonetta and PG fans are quite happy with the news of Bayonetta 2 being dragged out of oblivion, even if it means that they'll have to get a Wii U. But hey, now they'll be able to play that other PG game, The Wonderful 101!

Fans of Bayonetta are fans of Bayonetta. They should play the game where it lands. Also, Nintendo is making it happen for them so they should shut their mouths and say "thank you", and shut their mouths again.

Please tell that to Wii fans complaining about not getting PS3/360 games for the last 6 years.

There's a big difference between Wii fans complaining about games they aren't getting, and ps360 fans insulting, flaming and boycotting PG for games they aren't even fans of, for a game that is largely backed by Nintendo (which real fans would thank Nintendo about).

You're talking about console fans, I was talking about "Fans of Bayonetta". You should get it now.

Ok so now they've gone from Bayonetta fans to being PS3/360 fans who don't even like Bayonetta, because I pointed out your clear Nintendo bias and double standard.

Um, pretty sure he meant that TRUE Bayonetta fans will be happy that a sequel exists, and will play it regardless of what system it comes out for.  They may be upset it is not coming to their console of choice, but if they like the franchise enough they eventually will pick up, or borrrow, or whatever a Wii U to play it.

The second part of that thought is that most of the people complaining then are NOT true Bayonetta fans, and are in fact whiny company fan boys complaining just out of thier hate of Nintendo.  Which I agree with.

"Hardcore" gamers hate Nintendo because it's cool to hate Nintendo.  It's part of the image.... I've always noticed that "hardecore gamers" that have the most need of "cred," often times women and young teens, are the most vocal about how "lame" Nintendo is for just this reason.

You're the one with the double standard. What if this game would have been Vita exclusive, would you argue the same way?

I've made no double standard, if going to throw around silly accusations and least have them be truthful.  What you are suggesting is like when Valkyria Chronicles jumped ship from PS3 to PSP.  I loved VC, one of my fav games this gen.  I wasn't going to to go buy a PSP just for the sequel though and if anything it just turned me off the series with SEGA doing that to VC fans, and I don't even hate the PSP like some Bayonetta fans clearly hate the WiiU.   I'm not the only VC fan who feels that way.

VC2 also got graphically downgraded on the PSP. Wasn't that a bigger issue?

Would you rahter have no VC2 at all?

I LOVE ICELAND!

This game wouldn't exist without Nintendo.

See what these idiots don't understand is the game industry is actually (gasp!) a business. As such things like game development require something called *money* to be made.

Sega is broke. Platinum is an independent small studio more or less that needs a sugar daddy to support them.

Nintendo stepped up to the plate when no one else did. Hopefully the game is a hit for them because they deserve it.

Meanwhile quietly the confirmation of MG3G for Wii U makes it look less and less likely that a mainline Monster Hunter will ever be back on a Sony platform again, but I like how this news upstaged that, lol.

What would really make this whole thing even more amazing and satisfying would be MadWorld 2 getting announced for Sony and Microsoft consoles, but not the Wii U.

I'll be honest I never really liked the first game that much. A little too weird and unfocused for my taste.

They should be pissed at Microsoft and Sony... surely they were offered similar deals to save this game and refused.

Actually, they shouldn't be pissed at all lol! Just buy a Wii U if you're so hardcore!
