I've decided to take up a new non game-related opportunity that I reckon will keep me super ultra busy, so I will be ceasing daily updates.

I may do some database-driven stuff and technology tests (look closely, and you may see the site's backend code base change from PHP to node.js!), but I won't be doing articles or updates. The site's archive and comments will remain in place, so you can still consult old content and share it with your children, and one day their children too.

Thanks for reading all these years, and a special thanks to everyone who registered and posted comments -- even the punk asses I banned.

Well, that sucks. Now where will we get our news from Japan?

Please excuse my bad English.

Currently gaming on a PC with an i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

Steam / Live / NNID : jonxiquet    Add me if you want, but I'm a single player gamer.

Around the Network

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

Pity, great site, checked it often.

He could have waited at least TGS to end it with a bang!
Gematsu is the second next best thing. Going to miss the release schedule a lot.

That had become of of my most frequently visited sites. Disappointing.

You figure he could have sold it, perhaps to someone he trusted not to ruin it.

I'd buy it off him... :/

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Google Translate and Famitsu, or 4gamer. What I want to know is how he is going to keep it running without any profit? Or is it free to just leave a website alone?

@Mr.Khan

.......did you get a job in Japan yet?

I haven't gotten a job period. I'm interning at my local Congressional campaign to get some experience.

Damn. It's the best site for Japanese VG news. He actually and quickly updates and apologizes when there's a mistake or translation errors in his articles through help from the members comments. No one is doing that besides him(as far as I know). I believe him to be someone who deeply and sincerely cares for Japanese Videogaming Industry and it's such a big loss for us who does not understand the language.

There's still Siliconera but it's not going to be the same IMO.
