Probably based on the fact it would be a new console from a major console manufacturer and game publisher :P.

Bringing with them their usual beloved franchises. It's not like features are really what's more important. It's the content that matters first and foremost. The rest becomes gimmicks or superfluous extras in the short term.
Gamers mostly buy Nintendo consoles for Mario, Zelda, Metroid ...
They buy Sony consoles for Naughty Dog, Gran Turismo, God of War ...
They buy Microsoft consoles for Halo, Fable, Forza ...
I don't see why anyone should give any "based on what" reason to buy a system, really. It's not like lilbroex will buy the Wii U based on the system's "extraordinary" set of features. He was sold on it before the system was even leaked.
It will be excellent to launch on 2013, but i doubt sony can do it falwlessly.
well, ps3 have become my favorite console this generation and i know the games will be there eventually, so the only issue will be the price.
If the PS4 launches at $400 it is a waste of time. It would be similar to having a 52in 720p TV, then buying a 24in 1080p to replace it. At the price the difference will not justify the cost. I would just stick with PS3/360.
Stop hate, let others live the life they were given. Everyone has their problems, and no one should have to feel ashamed for the way they were born. Be proud of who you are, encourage others to be proud of themselves. Learn, research, absorb everything around you. Nothing is meaningless, a purpose is placed on everything no matter how you perceive it. Discover how to love, and share that love with everything that you encounter. Help make existence a beautiful thing.
