Forums - General Discussion - Who here on this site is poor? Who on this site are rich?

I make around 30k a year and I take care of an entire house with a baby and I also hire a maid to clean up my place. It really depends on where you live.

Im rich amongst the poor and poor amongst the rich!

Lol I make like $80k a year and here in Switzerland it's pretty midclass I guess. Not bad for my age though (I'm 25).

Game of the year 2017 so far:

5. Resident Evil VII
4. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
3. Uncharted: The Lost Legacy
2. Horizon Zero Dawn
1. Super Mario Odyssey

Rich/Poor are far too relative to assign numbers too, even within the same country. I live in one of the most expensive cities in Australia/World(Canberra), if your household is earning less than 60k you would definitely rank as poor and struggle to even pay the bills (Not an issue for me as my household would be more than 4 times that yet not considered wealthy). My home town where I grew up is a 2 hour drive from here. There you could live on 30k a year which would be lucky to even cover the rent on a dump in Canberra.

yer Canberra is an interesting one. It most cases it is cheaper to buy than rent there.

Melbourne its the opposite, however to buy is so out of reach if you work in CBD and want to remain sane by staying within a reasonable travel distance (ie 45mins each way). My rent in melbourne is about 65% of my wage after tax, but to buy it would be nearly 90% of my wage after tax.

Overall in this country, cost of living is the biggest issue. e.g 24 cans of coke here is like $30, in the USA when I visited it was $5.

I have a basic salary of $4035 per month. I work in a sales business so I get commission. Next month I will get a nice pay check --> $9500. Am I rich now?!

I make more money than most of my mates in my age. I am 26.

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

I don't have a job at the moment - household income is ~£60k ($95k), but we live in an expensive part of the country, so that money doesn't go very far

I don't have income. I am very poor.

I don't make any money at all, and the household income is around £3000 ($4000) a year, but I don't consider myself 'poor'. Why? Because I save up whatever little I get to buy what I want, and do what I like. Your thread is just upsetting.

I think you need to realize this thread is offensive. You think that people really are going to say if they are poor? No. If you really think $30000 a year is poor, you seriously need to rethink the way the world works, even in 1st world countries.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.
