There's not much more to say about that ban than what's in the ban report.

"At any rate you know the drill by now. Don't discuss it here, or you'll be banned. PM Smeags or Axum with complaints or voice them in the official thread. " I gave you that fairly straightforward warning (which you quoted), yet you continue to discuss it in the thread rather than in a PM. You've not really left me with much choice here.)"

However I will explain a little further. I had already posted in the thread yesterday with a warning to not discuss the moderation in the thread; something other users had done quite happily beforehand. This post does not mean anything and will only lead to further off-topic discussion, and more importantly breaks the forum rules as outlined in this thread and on the official page:

"We've been patient and open and have allowed open constructive criticism of the mod team. We feel it was best to give users the opportunity to discuss these things and help us get better. What we've found in recent months is that some have taken this liberty too far and complain and whine about every little thing we do and don't do to the point of simply trying to goad us. From this point on mod criticism in any public form will not be allowed with a few exceptions. We have a dedicated mod performance thread where we've allowed users to come in and reasonably state their case publicly if they feel it sets a new precedent and what not. We have a monthly ban thread where rules of discussion are specifically laid out. These are the ONLY public forums for mod criticism we will allow from now on. Anything in the form of threads, posts, wall posts, wall comments, article comments, game page comments, etc. will no longer be welcome. As always, you are free to PM the mod in question (or one of the other mods) to bring an issue or criticism to light. Public criticism will be moderated. This has always been a rule but now the mod team feel it's time to get strict on this as we've really just had enough with some users' antics. "

And yet, I posted in the thread saying discussion of the moderation will result in a ban; something that pezus quoted and yet omitted. He knew what he was doing but he continued, and with the obvious warning which he obviously saw I'm not really sure what else there is to discuss.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Read the post that pezus actually quoted. The post, not his quote.

Sorry. I didn't mean to make it plural.

That ban on Pezus is a little overboard. Im sorry but you guys need to chill out with that rule. Ive said it before but i dont believe youre going to have people siding with you all when you all are just banning people for simple reasons like that. People are going to disagree with you all and you all should be capable of taking criticism by actually listening to your community. And yes people are going to want to talk with each other about your all's moderating to see if we agree with one another. You all are basically taking people's freedom of speech away and sending them to this thread that is hardly active (165 viewers in the last 24 hours).
