I think this thread has run it's course.
Complaining about specific moderations over the last few pages aren't really what the orginal intension was.

How else would someone convey that the mods are doing something wrong and explain why?

Just admit it, kirby. You are trying to collect mod points in hopes to save your butt in the future.

Everyone knows mods have their hearts removed upon promotion to ensure such methods will not work.

Thanks for letting the big secret out the bag

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Got another one:

If you pick someone out for an ad hominem attack, you might as well moderate the quoted post when it is dripping with terms like "grown up", "serious gamer" and ignorance (you can only lose without the aforementioned third party games; hello there, Wii) that is so mindboggling that all put together might as well be deliberate trolling. Or you moderate neither.

That's the sort of stuff I criticized in my "Legalise the usage of the word 'troll'" thread, that moderators are taking action without taking context into account. I don't see how superchunk's question was crossing the line while etking's post was not. It's either both or neither.

Also, because I was reminded of it: Anfebious got banned for Wii U trolling. That's where the "moderator is not familiar enough with the community" thing plays a role.

The new moderators brought a breath of fresh air and some changes in how rules are applied (by both, old and new mods), but quite a few questionable moderations have piled up this month. Hence why I am repeatedly posting in this thread.

It was just the classic case of little sister bugging the shit out of her brother until brother decides to react and bam... brother gets hit by dad who never realized what sister was doing. Either on purpose due to favortism or lack of realizing the bigger picture.

However, I fully agree with your post and your thread regarding calling a troll a troll.

What?! Then why did I have my manhood cut off and fed to the goats?! You guys said it was the norm for new mods!

So I should ban everyone?

I was banned 5 days for trolling apparently (No previous warnings or bans for trolling either). I guess sarcasm is the same thing as trolling nowadays? Anyway I don't like that I received a 5 day ban when I was never warned or moderated previously for "trolling". To make it worse apparently moderation is a group decision which means you all failed to do your job properly.

I don't recall that specifically being brought up in the mod chat but there are  some instances where the user cannot be in the mod chat where they make the decision on the spot. He was right to moderate you for the post but 5 days was not an appropriate amount of time. I'll message him and tell him to keep to the "progressive mod" position in mind and leave a note in your history to disregard previous moderations time length.

Also, your avatar is bit borderline, Can you throw her in like a fur coat or something? :p

Could you remove it for me? The image is to long and I can't see my settings tab to change it.
