If a woman's husband be caught lying with another, they shall be strangled and cast into the water. If the husband's wife would save her husband, the king can save his servant.

The hell are you on?  Is that some sort of lame attempt at a bible quote?

The Code of Hammurabi. Switched the genders, of course.

You know, because this whole thing sounds like something stupid and archaic that you'd expect to read from an old Babylonian clay tablet dating back to the 1700's BC. I dunno, it made sense in my head.

ah, got it.  Still feel this entire thread is a farce.  being unfaithful to your partner is not a good thing to be sure, as honesty is a very important part of any relationship, but the worst punishment you should get for being  unfaithful is losing your partner(s).  if you are dishonest or lie to someone, it's only fair they don't trust you, and if that means they don't want to have a relationship with you, then that's their decision.

To be honest, sex really SHOULDN'T be that big of a deal.  it shouldn't be a deal breaker, or some end of the world thing if something doesn't 'fit'.  I'm with D12Lewis, I always saw sex as just another thing two friends do.  yeah, it strengthens bonds, as it requires an air of humility and fragility, you have to trust someone to be naked in front of them, but I don't think it's some holy act.  To me, I'm just as willing to have sex with a friend as I am play videogames with them.  I just want a partner that shares my 'sex is casual' attitude.

Oh, and happydolphin once again misses my point.  dude seems to follow me around to every thread I post in to try and make me look bad by exposing logic holes that aren't there.

And yet you always fail at showing how. Maybe I missed your point (and I get it from this post), but it doesn't change that the way you argued it was flawed. It's probably what happened every time we debated in the past.

In other words you have interesting perspectives, but don't rationalize/argue them well.

What about cheating women

Men cheat way way more than women. If a woman does it it's because she probably learned it from another man.

Do you know the reason why men cheat on women?

Because of women.

That doesn't make cheating okay. Women have a higher chance of getting STDS due to pig men sleeping around.

hahahaha, this guy is fucking amazing !!! A true showman !

Rapists should be castrated on their first offense. Cheaters should be stripped of all of their money and left to fend for themselves. This has nothing to do with the Bible, this is social justice in real life.

Men are meant to sleep with as many women as possible to ensure the survival of our species.

You are lowering the gene pool. You should be castrated.

Cheating.. is very natural... or mayby not natural.. but it's part of the most basic parts of man... and even before the man inventet the whreel.. he was "programed" to have kids.. and look for (and test) the best mothers..
So no.... no punishment for the man.. but you could hate god for makeking him this way..

Sorry for my english

You didn't think logically on this one did you?

A society of monogamous relationships for the purpose of procreation would logically produce far more diverse genetics than one which is largely polygamous for the purpose of procreation. For example: 5 unrelated women with 5 different unrelated husbands would have 5 sets of unrelated children; 5 women with one man would have 5 sets of half-siblings.

In addition, men do not sleep with many women for hopes of procreation, they sleep with many women for hopes of recreation.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

listen to Adele, sarah mclachlan or fiona apple XD

You're honestly unable to see the ignorance and hypocrisy in your statements?  dude, you are incredibly sexist, if you can't s ee that then there is no helping you.

Still ignoring my facts I see. If you cannot contribute then can you please stop spamming in my thread?

it's not about facts, it's still sexist and bigoted.

Just because you don't like it doesn't make it bigoted.

What do you think should happen to women who cheat?

There wouldn't be as much evolutionary progress in the monogamous scenario, since everyone would be entitled to offspring. Which is fine today, but not how things worked before civilization.

Most women are fragile, but that's why so many women are becoming the pants in the family. Women need to be independent and strong. I'm not the pig who believes cheating men are okay. I'm actually finding your posts pretty sexist...

Your rampant sexism sickens and concerns me.  You seem to live in a fantasy world that romanticizes women to the point that it dehumanizes them.  Most women are unique individuals with their own strengths and weaknesses.  They aren't there to flesh out your fantasy world with stereotypes.  Likewise, the way you attempt to dehumanize and stereotype men is equally horrible.  Refering to either sex as an animal says a lot about a person, you included.

Most studies show that nearly as many women cheat as men.  A few even have more women cheating than men, and a few others indicated that a women who cheats will do so with more partners.  There is also some evidence that women will continue to lie about their affair for a far longer period than men.

I'm sorry, but your make-believe world where all women are shrinking violets is nothing but your own imagination.

Also, I do not believe you were ever on a debate team, or else your debate team was awful.  Otherwise you would know that your personal anecdotes are completely meaningless here.  Attempting to argue with "I know more guys who cheat" is something even a novice on a debate team would roll their eyes at.

Finally, as I find sexism to your degree disturbing, I'm probably going to stay away from your threads in the future.  Wish I'd known about you before.
