Well you can see it in two ways still, are you willing to buy a 32 gb memory card (which imo is worth it for the content you can put it in it BUT not for the price it is going for now) or buy a smaller sized memory card and again buy another one if push comes to shove when you need it.

Which is one of the reasons why I'm holding out on buying a Vita, gonna  wait for a price cut on the memory cards before even purchasing a Vita. I think by the time the memory card prices get cut, there might be a more worthwhile getting bundle or deal, so might as well wait.

As for the 3DS, people who bought the system early got ripped off 50 bucks and a bigger version is out, so you might as well get the 3DS XL which is available and has better battery life/bigger screen size than the original 3DS (even if it is 20 dollars more, $200 is better than $250!).

The thing is, I'd be getting the Vita+32GB memory card+a game or two for the same price as just a single Vita over here.

You could do that and be disappointed a few weeks/months after like what happened with the 3DS Fans who bought their 3DS early, who knows....maybe you'll get Free PS1 games after the price cut! l0l I kid I kid.

I would wait or get a 3DS XL if I were you unless there isnt anything interesting on the 3DS for you, save that cash for PC/PS3 games ;p

No, I won't be disappointed because it's not like my sister is going to go to America again soon. I either take this chance to get it cheap or wait forever hoping for a price cut. I want to point out that consoles rarely get price cuts over here. I only remember the Wii falling quite a bit in price. PS3 is still as expensive as it was when I bought one back in 2007, and that was with two games. Stores use price cuts as an excuse to increase their income so they won't drop it for a long time.

I'm anti Nintendo, but Nintendo handhelds are always worth owning. Since you don't have a DS already, then the 3DS is a great console to own because while the 3DS doesn't have many good games, the DS has a ton of great games.

I own 11 3DS games so far and one game is currently pre-ordered.  Personally I think that's a lot.  The thing here is what would you consider a "good game" as many people have different ideas on what they are.  Getting a 3DS is a great option nonetheless because you can play any 3DS and DS game on it, and the DS games aren't region-locked.  A PSVita also has access to many good games, but it requires you to buy a larger memory card.  It really depends on what you're looking for (most of this directed towards pezus).

I'm sure most of you know who I am by now, but in case you don't, you should know that I am what you might call a Sony "fanboy". Now, I actually like many Nintendo games (I know, surprising!), but Sony+PC has always been more than enough for me. I recently got into iPod Touch gaming, but that isn't doing it for me for extended periods of time.

I got the PSP near its launch, and ultimately got burned. I only bought around 5 games for it, and didn't even finish them all. The Vita situation isn't looking very good at the moment, ....

Stopped reading there, bro.

But seriously, get a 3DS, just not INSTEAD of a Vita.  Get a vita first, THEN getthe 3DS.

Shouldn't it be the other way around? 3DS is cheaper and has the bigger/better library now, so get that now and wait until Vita drops in price and its library has grown.

Vita needs the support more.

I got it all, baby!

PS4, Switch, WiiU, XBO, PC
Vita, 3DS, Android

Top 3 this generation:
Bloodborne, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Dark Souls III

Its probably a good system, I owned one but sold it back though. Wait until the games you like come out for it.

The games I like are Mario games, so only 3DLand and NSMB2 really.

Oh I thought this was one of those "I can purchase a NA PSVita whenever I want to" moment, if its one of the once in a lifetime (or similar) moments, might as well get it. I mean they must be ripping you guys off at Snowland D:

PSVita = 249.99
Game = 29.99 - 39.99 (unless you get UCGA which is 49.99 I think)
32 GB Memory card = 89.99 (in some places)  - $99.99

And you say you pay for that much just for the Vita itself ? Crazy.

Also dont get the 3G version, honestly dont see it being worth it, get the WiFi version.

Indubitably to this whole post. Amazon are selling the memory card for $71! Must be some similar deals elsewhere. I would buy almost everything digitally through the US/UK store if I decided to get a Vita. It's just that much cheaper.

If the Vita doesn't get support, its games will be ported to the PS3, a platform pezus already owns. Not buying a Vita is win-win for pezus.

Legend11 correctly predicted that GTA IV (360+PS3) would outsell SSBB. I was wrong.

Mind pointing the biggest out? I'm not interested in most JRPGs, mind you, and I don't remember anything really drawing my eye on the DS except maybe Mario and Pokemon.

if you dont like JRPGS, then i would pass on DS since the system is lousy with em. i cant think of any other genre that has more games except for those touch casual fares(like cooking mama) but if you game on your Ipad/phone WE then you would have no need for those anyway

Playstation All-Stars is one of the best games I've played this gen, and is the most fun I've had in a game this gen.

If it's not to much trouble, ask you sister to check the airport electronic shops. I got a 32GB memory card for $10 off the normal price at the airport around 6 months ago, going from Canada to the States.
