Forums - General Discussion - I understand why the 1% votes republican, you will have to explain to me the other 40-50%!!!

Reagan came in and said greed is good. Then decided to stand on the poors backs to make the rich lives so cushy and lavish. Pay nothing to anyone, don't tip, don't pay for the infrastructure. Just don't pay your fair share for this great country that allowed us rich to get to where we are now. It was government programs that saved the banks with our money, it was government who built this infrastructure and it was also government that makes sure that we should all play by the same rules. However deregulation allows the rich to destroy the rules, Sh-t on the little bizz and just whip everyone else out. Look at The banks, wall st. and Wal-mart for proof

Some will come in here and these we will call the rich brown nosers, they think that if they schill enough for the rich they might just get something or they vote out of hate or blame social programs for our down fall.

SOCIAL PROGRAMS WITHOUT MEDICARE AND SS ACCOUNT TO ONLY 13% OF OUR DEBT.  So your hate is stupid and you better blame someone else then  the poor and lets not forget that the majority of people on Welfare and foodstamps are white. Also many are veterans that we already sh-t on enough. But you keep protecting the rich. They might just give you a reach around one day. Most likely not.

The trickle down effect works flawlessly. Just be happy with whatever piss that manages to trickle down to you. Don't make Reagan wake from the dead and bust out his voodoo economics!

I doubt Bill maher will give a reach around either. LOL

Oh, and the graph that shows the growth of income doesn't list the top 1% in the first part of that graph. but it does in the second one. Curious wouldnt you think?

The strategy is to pit the middle against the lower. They'd be too focus on keeping the lower lower to worry about the higher.

You are very right my friend. The Republcans and the corporatist do this very well. They are very good at stirring up hate between two groups who really have sh-t in the first place. They say, Look at that black guy over there, What a jerk. Then run off with your wallet and the people on the right are like, "yea that son of bitch, he's living way worse then me and I'm mad  because he's not living way worse.

Also another fun fact, poverty is the biggest reason for crime.  So if we make people poor enough we can all enjoy getting mugged and beaten up while the super rich rides along in bullet proof cars.

I dunno, man, but you are so right. Deregulation is a very dangerous thing, because it is a hallmark of corporatism. Some people think that a freer market actually leads to more freedom and less corruption, but these people just don't get it. They are just racist and stupid and also racist. It is important that the government have more power to bring into line the corporations who have already bought the government lock, stock, and barrel. There is no way that this can ever backfire, even though it seems patently obvious that it inevitably will. It just won't, though. Trust me. Obama 2012! Yes we can (for real, this time)!

It's been said, but this was originally Bill Maher's idea.

Babble babble bitch bitch rebel rebel party party sex sex sex and don't forget the violence. Blah blah blah got your lovey-dovey sad and lonely stick your stupid slogan in. Everybody sing along.

Deregulation of California's energy market worked out so well for them....  You gotta give companies like Enron a chance to scam millions while they cook their books before they fold.
