I for one have not been more disappointed in a developer or publisher (and yes that includes Square-Enix...although they come close). With the recent announcement of Dawnguard on PS3 possibly never seeing the light of day (honestly sucks that Microsoft paid for timed exclusivity on the DLC), I can honestly say that I will not purchase another piece of Bethesda content or products.

But I'm curious to as how the rest of the PlayStation VGChartzers....VGChartzans...VGChartz...um...forum goers think of the studio.

Worst developers in my opinion. I'm not buying anything from them anymore since the ps3 version always gets the shaft. I can't play for more than 10 minutes before my ps3 freezes. I don't know why they sell the games at full price.

I should have held off and got Skyrim with a new PC. I love Morrowind, Oblivion did some things right and some things wrong, Fallout 3 was amazing, Skyrim fixed some Oblivion problems. As far as them as developers they mess things up quite often. Difficulty with the PS3, favoring one console while trying to be mulitplatform, buggy initial starts, games like Brink. TES is still Bethesda to me and I need to keep it PC with them because they support the mod community. They've been too vocal against PlayStation but it seems like a self inflicted dislike. You'd think they would side more like Valve has with PlayStation's platform seeing that they are more of, or used to be, PC game developers. Mentioning Square Enix makes sense, that company too has branched out in way too many directions and seems to enjoy decisions that weaken original fan base though not as bad. Bethesda gets a lot of heat even though they aren't particularly that much worse than some other companies. People just really like them so one wrong move is highlighted.

Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(

Bethesda has had major difficulty with the PS3 from the beginning. I remember Oblivion hyped as a launch title for the PS3 and then got pushed back several months and still released with bad glitches. Fallout 3 was fun after all the patches that were released for it.

New Vegas was a shame because the concept was great, but was seriously plagued by terrible game breaking bugs. And Skyrim just adds to that growing list of titles that Bethesda just can't get right.

At least Brink was terrible for all systems involved.

Very dissatisfied. They release games in piss poor shape and screw their fan-base repeatedly with console exclusivity/updates. It's amazing the company has the following it does. Their games aren't bad (albeit they aren't amazing either imo) but my problem lyes more with their business practices rather then the games themselves.

For games they actual develop, my favourite company this gen easily.

For games they just have their name thrown on, meh.

They're a great gaming company that truly makes amazing games that have the best elements of what you would want from a story driven game. Sounds too good to be true? It is. Their games may have amazing elements but it is usually overlooked by the number of post-launch glitches. These can range from quests being glitched which cannot be completed to skyrim saves being corrupted.

I like their games in general, but I hate their mentality of making early buyers of their games guinea pigs to figure out the bugs and glitches instead of doing something about it themselves.

Former something....

Tell me about it, I'm playing New Vegas right now...over again. Just found out I can't beat the game or finish the NCR quest amid lock ups they won't be fixing. At least Fallout 3 was fixed. Skyrim was working fine for me until they started patching and after a month or two ran completely fine. I can't say anything about Oblivion because I played it on PC...well with a mod to remove shadows...and lower the textures...and lighting...and particles...that game was so demanding and I guess it showed on consoles. I remember 360 having a lot of tearing at first and lock up issues. I still give them a lot of Morrowind cred. (boots up Morrowind)

Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(

Blame the PS3s RAM structure as Ive heard thats the biggest problem
