This gen: SSM, done a lot of things, and made a lot of games that I intend on getting.
Previous gens: Naughty Dog, Crash was awesome.

I prefer Uncharted to God of War, and Naughty Dog have impressed me every single generation I've followed them (PS1, PS2, PS3).

But based on this generation alone, I'd have to say that Santa Monica have put in far more work and are far more deserving. They've collaborated on an unbelievable amount of stuff I've enjoyed (Twisted Metal, Starhawk, Fat Princess, Journey etc.) all the while maintaining their own franchise.

Naughty Dog. Uncharted series is amazing and they have a proven track record to boot. To last this long and still be improving and releasing high quality titles is no small feat. Last of Us looks set to continue that quality.

Naughty dog. SM as much more to prove, since they don't have the same track record as ND.

Those guys completely nailed PSone, PS2 and now PS3.

But Quantic Dream is above those 2 together. Heavy Rain is the best PS3 title, and soon Beyond will join.

Santa Monica seems to be the driving force for more games (quality games mind you), but Naughty Dog has been pumping out high quality titles almost every year during this generation.

Santa Monica was built up very nicely under David Jaffe before he left. So they were full of talent to build up from then as well. It's tough, but I gotta go with Naughty Dog. My favorite franchises have come from them.

Especially Jak and Daxter.

Well, I haven't got to play the Uncharted series (really would love to) and I haven't got to play GoW3. I had a PS3 in '07 but I wasn't a very avid gamer like I am today (Damn Live got me hooked). But from my experiences with the previous games of the GoW series, and some earlier Naughty Dog games (along with research for UC and GoW3), I would have to say that SSM has my vote. Don't know why, but I kept on playing GoW 1 and 2 for countless hours. I was a kid at the time (born in '95), and my dad was a sony gamer. Father-son time that molded me into a console gamer.

Random fact - My dad thinks I am an idiot for owning a Xbox 360 but not having an PS3.
