I...never really realized that the xbox controller was like that 0_0

the ps3 controller is bad for me, it's the reason i play multi-plat games always on 360.

about the pressure sensitivity, the buttons have a way too small way to press it only half way in fast ugly situations, i'm happy that i don't have to use that in games, i would many many times push the button more than i had to and would do whatever the full push would do^^

i still like the buttons more than the 360 buttons so my perfect controller would be the 360 controller with a "real" d-pad and ps3 buttons.

My favorite thing about the PS3 controller is that you can have it wired. That way you don't have to worry about the battery running out.

Ya I think the xbox controller is to bulky and clumsy for me. I just cant play games with it. In fairness I am also so use to the playstation controller. I tried to play xbox at my buddies house and the buttons are to confusing for my hands to adjust. I just end up throwing the controlller or giving it to someone else to play. I will never buy an xbox for this reason. The buttons on the front of the xbox stretch the hand to reach which is also annoying me being so use to the playstation controller and all. The games for the xbox are good Halo and gears, but the controller combined with lack of exclusives is not worth a purchase to me. I have had every playstation console and the controller is the same. So it's an easy choice for me.I have had people tell me that the xbox controller is far better but those are xbox owners. My thing is there complaint about the ps3 controller is its to small. I say they sell a bigger controller. I seen one at walmart it looks like an xbox controller but for the ps3.

People who suck at using the Dualshock don't even know how to hold it.

Both controllers have bothersome points about them, if you ask me. With the DS, for example, I bought some trigger extenders that work fantastic. The controller really should come with better triggers standard.

However, some of the "flaws" are really just matters of preference. I remember someone telling me about how awful the DS is because your thumbs always hit. This surprised me, as I don't remember that ever happening to me, so I was conscious of how I used the sticks the next time I played. I realized that I use the tips of my thumbs to control the sticks. I tried using the middle of my thumb, as this person must play, but I hated it. I use analog stick extenders, but I play the same way even with the stock sticks.

The DS could stand to be bigger, but I love the design otherwise. I do not like off-set sticks at all.

yeah I'm pretty sure more people prefer the 360 controller and it's been very vocal this generation that people think the PS3 controller is out dated. Good try on making an opinion and trying to state it as a a fact.

I honestly thought these pressure sensitive face-buttons were a myth since no one ever really talk about it and because it sounded like a very redundant feature to implement.

That's not exclusive to PS3 controllers.

Also, shooting with the face buttons in Metal Gear is such bad design. Triggers are where a gunshot should come from. And holding with fingers is just to uncomfortable. Also wit my huge fingers  is an issue.

It's been like that since the first Metal Gear Solid, and to be honest has never been a problem for me whatsoever... and isn't the aiming weird on the 360 version of the HD collection? I heard you have to click the right analogue stick down and move it around to aim, that sounds weird, lol.

If you have ever played Halo, that has always been how you aim down sites.

OT: It all comes to personal preference. Obviously, I enjoy the 360 controller better because it's what I'm use too, and in the end that is going to be 90% of why someone prefers one controller over another. I have one of the twist d-pads that work great, a lot better than the original.
