From what I hear its the little things like no knock back KO and not knowing points until the end of the game that is discouraging preorders.

The bolded...is a VERY good thing and I hope they don't change that.

How so? The main benefit at least in Smash brothers was a good tension when there was a neck-to-neck moment. You played harder and felt the pressure (in a good way).

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

well we only know one mode..and that's the one I played. Trust me when I say the tension and intensity is much higher when there is no score tracker. The moment they add a score tracket then people will try to gang up on the leader....right now it's just like the mode says, it's free for all. The game is very very offense driven. So from the get go it's very chaotic. This also leads to some of the funniest and most interesting situations i have ever seen in fighting games in general.

If you read around almost all beta users will echo what I just said. The only thing they need to do us make the visuals a bit sharper (they already look good but needs to be a bit sharper so the elements stand out better) and the camera control needs to be a bit better...I personally prefer it to be a tad bit more zoomed in but I talked to some who disagree. But yeah those are the main complaints about the beta now.

thank you someone with sense. Smash Bros doesn't have a counter on screen during a TIME match, yet no one complains. People seem to forget SuperBot said that other modes and so on. The Time battles would be a whale on the Lead player because of this. Stock matches will show stock for sure and so on. I've been trying to get into the Beta but none of the 6 PSNs in my Place got the damn code. But honestly at this rate this can't really flop. The Beta gets nothing but positive reviews and feedback even greg miller seems interested and he was HATING HARD at first till he actually tried. Now kids will buy this because everyone knows Kratos by now and kids wanna play him, Ratchet is well knows with all games selling well but SAC. Sackboy is known. Sly for older as well as twisted metal and jak. Spike is more for the japanese audience I assume. Raiden will draw interest and so on. Only way this can flop is if the game has no content. Pre-Orders on PS3 mean nothing. LBP 1 sold 300+K first week nowhas I believe 4 million, Ratchet & Clank FToD has 2.5 mill. these people feel to much threat from this and try find any posible negatives. I would have prefered it to be Power stone way with stock and ring outs but i ain't complaining. Was going to buy it on PS Vita but now I'm a get on PS3 for both. See the non-haters online Nov. 20

BTW M.U.G.E.N, you Chie avatar is hot, my fav Persona Character.
and I wonder if people like Prinny will make it in and I wish, Max or Monica from DC2 was going to be in and hope the next announcement is really Crash Bandicoot

I agree. I was part of the beta and the intensity never left. Everyone is able to fight and keep going without feeling down that they can clearly see they are terrible.

It makes everything play with a sense of urgency.

Anything under 2 million is a flop because it's had so much damn publicity.

I don't think it will do 500,000 personally.

It's awkward, devoid of personality and all round crappy looking imo and I think it's easy to tell for the general "stupid" public because it's a very wysiwyg type of game. Zero depth.

It will do more than half a million. It's probable that it will do that before years end.

Any Sony exclusive is going to sell a steady number during the end of 2012 and all 2013, I would say 1.8-2.3 millions is a good range for this game.

@Bolded: LOL that has to be the first time ever that i have seen anyone use that metric to measure a success of a game. good thing that's not how it works

for the underlined....have no clue what you are ranting on about. It has personality..but this is something that cannot be 'proven'...for any game. visuals are fantastic and the gameplay has a lot of depth for every character. So that part of your post is just nonsense.

@Trid: Yep exactly. I think they really wanted to make urgency a big part of the gameplay. Looking at how everyone is trying execute super after super in the last few seconds is hilarious

@Teflon: Thanks! :D It took me an hour or two to make it but it was fun...glad you like it

and yes the turn around of Greg was very noticeable for this game. seen a similar reaction by few nay sayers about the gameplay as well once they tried it. I'm really looking forward to seeing the other modes in action for this game. Especially the story mode. this game will have legs....besides this is the first of the series. No one including sony will be expecting this to do crazy amounts of sales. they will surely bundle this one a lot too to get the name out

PlayStation All-Stars will be fine and from what I've played (in beta) there is still room for improvement. However, the mechanics are there. This is one of those games that Sony will market and up to now the characters have been low tier to mid tier character announcements.

Wait for Nathan Drake is the only character that could be argued as a high tier character to sell the game alone. Big Daddy isn't exactly a high tier caliber character.

We're closing in on the big character announcements.

It seems to me like LBP Karting, PSASBR, and Forza Horizon are all going to flop this holiday in the USA.
