Digital sales?

Loads of Vita games are sold digitally.

DIgital Sales arent included because we have no way of tracking them...even still, preliminary estimates suggest NSMB2 to have sold somewhere around 500K digitally in the US alone (based on this thread: http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=146837&page=1 )...still, i guess thats not much to go by :P

That number is not true. Check the thread again, pretty sure pokemonbrawl explained what went wrong with his analysis.

vgchartz has total vita lifetime software sales of 5,084,097. It would be interesting to see if NSMB2 ever gets close to total Vita software lifetime sales.

Sorry, but that number is wrong. I failed to fully understand the article my analysis was based on. It is however the tenth best selling eShop title LTD on the NA eShop though, so that's something! :D

Lol I'm a Vita fan but even I can see the humour in this. Although you can pick apart the unfairness of it I guess - I'd imagine MW3 on just 360 comes close to the 3DS top 10... maybe.

But whatever, LBP, COD, AC, PSA, FIFA, Madden should rescue Vita from total embarrasment. I hope....

Actually, that's food for thought. Let's do a 2011 version comparing MW3 for the 360 to the 3DS Top 10, using only 2011 data.

MW3 - 12.57 million

3DS - Super Mario 3D Land (4.61) + Mario Kart 7 (3.93) + Ocarina of Time 3D (2.36) + Nintendogs+cats (1.97) = 12.87

So The top 4 3DS games of 2011 was a touch more than MW3 on the 360.

lol, I didn't actually bother to check the numbers before I said that :P.

Isn't that even sadder for the Vita? The 3DS being kind of pathetic in terms of sales and still stomping the Vita into the ground? Like pathetic² ?

Ongoing bet with think-man: He wins if MH4 releases in any shape or form on PSV in 2013, I win if it doesn't.

It looks like Mario will be ahead at least until LittleBigPlanet comes out.

Love and tolerate.

NSMB2 is a third of a million ahead. Expect the difference to exceed half a million by the time LittleBigPlanet comes out.

I don't think little big planet will do very well. It's a game primarily aimed at children on a console aimed at adults. I think it would do much better on the 3DS. It's already doing quite poorly in Japan.

Far from it. It has recieved a fair amount of hype for a vita game and is a sequal to a huge PS3 game. Of course being on Vita it will sell horribly but compared to other Vita games it will do excellent. It is exactly the game the Vita needs right now.
