Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Adam Sessler has doubts about Wii U, thinks it could be delayed to 2013 ~ Is this guy on drugs? Pachter=Sessler

Tagged games:

Around 2005 right after E3 he made a video about how this generation will have Microsoft struggling in sales, Nintendo only appealing to the niche Nintendo fans, and Sony dominating once again with the PS3.

Everyone can make predictions. You just need to remember them to know how much stock to put in them.

Love Adam. He was the only thing that made TechTv/G4 credible. Think he might eat a little crow this time though.

I find it hilarious how Nintendo fans are getting super angry at everything.
even nintendo itself isn't saved from your rage.
Nintendo should make a game called AngryMii , Its like angry birds but with WiiU Pad slinging onto the TV.

Doesn't Sessler have his own platform to blog on at least, or has he been reduced to using Twitter to create articles for the world?

Yeah, I used to really like Adam back in the day; then again, I used to really like TechTV before it became G4.

It just seemed like near the end of his G4 time he caught a bit of troll-itis from Morgan Webb...

OT: Regarding his two predictions, I think he'll eat his words on both points.

annoying how all these media are showing misconfidence about Nintendo from day one nomatter what
and yet non Nintendo fans claiming "whats wrong? f....funny how Nintendo fans get pissed...blah,blah"

read this
WE ARE PISSED OF THE CONSTANT TROLLING WE ARE GETTING FROM THE MEDIA!!!!!

we should start not reporting as news every silly comment these biased freaks make on their twitter, websites or whatever....

Wrong on both accounts, but most people already knew that.

It'll be out this year. I'm 99.9% certain of that.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Yeah, the industry can only be stimulated by even more expensive consoles with unnecessary amounts of power played with the same controller we've been using since 1997.

I like Adam Sessler a lot, respect his opinion on games. He is not saying that Wii U will be delayed, he is just questioning the thought because of the lack of information on the console while its supposed release day is coming up. His second point is valid, who knows how well the Wii U will do and even if it does do well will it be enough to bring the industry back up or will it take more new consoles or crazy new software before that happens? The price comparison to other games is to highlight the Wii U's stiff competition with the PS3 and 360 since very strong software will be releasing during the same time it might be hard for Wii U to sell. There is nothing wrong with his statements.

There's precedent here for Nintendo not releasing information until 2 months before showtime, in several cases. So its nothing to get worried about.

It's quite amazing how so many have seemingly forgotten that they did exactly the same thing with the Wii and 3DS though.

Even though I thought he was the the better entertainer or more neutral at G4TV, but his association with the show leaves somewhat of a sour taste in my mouth. I am most certainly not a Nintendo fanboy but I prefer my journalists, or analysts for that matter be at least a little neutral when it comes to gaming; less fanboyism.

Unfortunately, there really aren't many sites that shows impartial views. I appreciate constructive criticism but nowadays it seems there's more bashing for the sole purpose of hits.

I have my doubts over Nintendo and its Wii U, but I don't foresee Nintendo withholding it any longer.

It could be you end up in that state after going through a bit of a career crisis, where you realize you spent most of your professional career expressing opinions in an industry whose target audience consists of a bunch of fanboys who are all fueled with religious impulses towards their platform of choice.
