Forums - Politics Discussion - I have some questions

1) How do I put a photo above my username?

2) Do I have to create a new account to change my username? (I had an ideological epiphany a couple of days ago)

It went like "You know we can have a free market and a large government"

I now believe the only real reasons the government of the USA is in debt is because of poor financial planning, corruption, too large of a military, a lack of efficiency in the public sector, and finally the tax revenue is too low.

The Tax Revenue of the United States is to low because.
1. Over regulation (makes it very hard for start-up companies (the main hirers in the economy to compete). And then those workers remain unemployed so they have no income to tax.)
2. Half the US population doesn't pay income tax!
3. The US tax code is a joke. (so many loopholes!) I would recommend a fair tax code that became popular due to Herman Cain's support of it. ( no it doesn't have to be 9-9-9 it would be funny though.

Also the entitlement programs can work in their current form, they just need some house-keeping to run well.

I don't understand. You imply that you created your account "a couple of days ago", but it says you have made 51 posts since 14th of July.

If you go to the upper right corner of the website where your info is (should be a drop down menu when you put the cursor over it, and it should currently show your non-avatar), you click on the settings option. There should be a profile picture tab there, which will let you choose and upload an avatar.

I don't know any way to change your username short of creating a new account. There was one user who's name was changed after they requested ioi to do it, but that's probably not going to happen for just anyone...

Lastly, you sorta could... as long as government stays out of the market (which seems to me that it would make government smaller). But I still disagree with the idea of a larger government. A larger government is involving itself in more areas of life, and I believe that (without getting into the specifics) government restricts freedom. I don't think there is a need for larger government.

Wow someone just made a whole thread asking how to use an avatar. Just go to your settings man.

He said he "had an epiphany" (which involved wanting to change username) a couple of days ago, not that he created the account then.

Oh. Thanks. It all makes sense now.

I'm pretty sure Herman Cain was kind of a joke.

Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.

Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash

The only problem is... corruption seems inherent to big government.

I heard an interesting proposal the other day tax code wise.

Replace EVERY tax with a VAT with progressive givebacks.

Entitlement programs are unfunded by a level of between $100-$200tn, depending on who you ask. That's an unfunded liability of more than $1m per person. What the hell kind of house-keeping are you proposing?

Big Government always leads to corruption, and little Government always leads to big Government.
