Forums - Sony Discussion - LBP sold 8 million!

ShadowMagist said:
I think he was only referring to the console versions because when talking about PSVita LBP, he said something to the effect of this being the first portable experience in the LBP universe? I think he had some wires crossed somewhere...

The PSP game was made by Cambridge Studio, so he probably meant just the games developed by Media Molecule themselves.

Whether or not it's the whole series combined, if a bunch of those sales were given away, or the bundles played a huge role in that number, it's good to hear so many have simply played Little Big Planet mainly just to hear a side scrolling platformer doing so well this gen that doesn't just have the nintendo brand power behind it.

Some people re just ..... Free psn "version" included+ normal official sales?

Ffs it was option for what 50,60 million users to download for free. Not only that but it d be idiotic to include free game lol.

He said "Media Molecule's first title was launched in 2008 and went on selling 8 million copies" literally.

Maybe, but you have no source to back that

Agreed.

It's a big number considering how bad platformers did this generation.
