Gamescom is on its way and there's definite solid news surrounding the Vita which is in time for the holidays as well as Wii U's launch. That may be what Sony's strategy to possibly spoil Wii U's launch.

Like they can really do that with Vita news...

Well, I'm certainly hopeful. E3 oddly lacked Vita news. I'm sure Gamescom will have news of releases that will coincide with Wii U's launch.
I'm merely considering the most strategic business move Sony would do in why they would withhold Vita news at E3, which would be to plan releases around Wii U's launch.

You never know though because Nintendo could have something REALLY big planned that will ruin Sony's plan for the Vita because companies do that a lot where they try to pit their console's news against the rival company's handheld news. O_o

PSP numbers are in... less than 15k. Just as VGChartz says.

That is the "aceptable" number. Becaus there's no way to change it, you have to accept it!

So we got 60k for the "Ecosystem"... hmm. COD and Ass Creed have MAJOR responsibility.

Hmm. I hadn't thought of it in that way. I suppose it could go either way. Great point.

Wow! Black OPs sold more than Modern Warfare 3 this month!
Black Ops 2 is going to be a beast. The Modern Warfare IP isn't as strong as it used to be. It's time to move into the future.

Wow, these numbers are just abysmal :/

America needs a Xbox 720 to provide a bit of spice to these sales

Well we're getting Wii U which is bound to make waves.

A PS4 launch would be just as effective(if not more) than an Xbox 720 launch.

Jack Tretton on Vita sales

"In this industry, you can't get too high or too low, because it moves very quickly," says Tretton. "I think there's an acceptable number - and [the number] we've sold: That's acceptable. If it was triple that, I'd be happier. If it was one-third, I'd be disappointed."

"Anything with great rewards is going to come with great challenges," he says. "We felt if the tech was there, and the game support was there, then the audience would be there. … I feel much better about it now than I did four months ago."

That's exactly what I'm hearing when I read this. After this NPD, these are not acceptable. It needs to be better.

DUH. An infant could see that these Vita sales are horrible.

But Jack Tretton works for Sony. His job is to put a positive spin on everything. Deal with it. Don't take it to seriously.
