but no problem... i think it is amazing that ps3+ps2 combined sold more than 360+wii but what do you want to say with that? still 3ds sells better and sony is still in financial problems if i read the other thread correctly.

Well generally quartelies can fluctuate quite a bit differently than sales, last year PS2 shipped more in Q1 than it did in the holidays (1.4m, 1.2m, 0.9m, 0.6m for Q1-4 respectively). To make a better comparison you need to look at the flow of data (ie the past few quarterlies compared) or if you want single data sets the yearlies are better (well, the yearlies made by adding up the quarterlies, because MS fiscal year is offset by 3 months which might make a difference)

Still impressive though, as I suspect the PS3 makes up 1.7-1.9 million of that figure, which is roughly equivalent to Wii + 360 anyway.

Contradictory statements, why do you say 3DS sells better when you ask me individual numbers? PS3 probably did something between the high 1.7m to low 1.9m. Sony's gaming division lost 1/3 of the money Nintendo lost last quarter, but lets not derail my thread, you have the other thread to talk about financials.

Ah yes, forgot about that bit... so 1.7m PS3s is highly likely (the financial statement wording allows it to go to 1.5m PS3s and 1.3m PS2s, but that seems unlikely)

Lord knows how the PSP/Vita split is made up though... hell I can't even figure out if last years 6.8 million shipment figure is just for PSP or includes Vita, and if it doesn't then where the hell did they mention Vita shipments. At a guess I would say 0.8-0.9m Vitas and 0.5-0.6m PSPs make up the 1.4m figure.

So looks like this quarter totals are:
3DS: 1.86m
PS3: 1.7m
PS2: 1.1m ~ X360: 1.1m
PSV: 0.8-0.9m
Wii: 0.71m
PSP: 0.5-0.6m ~ DS: 0.54m

Yes both are down because last Q1 they sold 3.2m combined, and this 2.8m. I dont see PS2 selling 1.1m this quarter, must likely PS3 sold 2m. We should get real numbers soon because combined these numbers doesnt make any sense.

So PS3 is down, then that would be like kowenicki said. Less than 2 million and around 1.7 million, very surprising PS2 nos.

Nope actually is Psp and Ps3 wich are down. Not Ps2 or Vita... Oh wait Vita onyl launched this year. my bad.

How the hell is the PS2 still shipping this much!
