Mainstream rap at the moment sucks ass! Drake and lil Wayne are talentless fuckwits. Eminem has still got it though. Oh yeah, and Nas is still awesome too.

Music evolves, so do we; there's actually of number genre that are fusing together. However, I'll say that rap is no more  if I see you, spurgeonryan do the C-Walk or the Dougie

The good stuff isn't the same as the mainstream stuff anymore...the good stuff is all underground and imo theres something for everyone. I pretty much despised rap for most of my life because i had never heard any I liked. Luckily someone whos musical tastes i respect very much mentioned someone so I checked em out and one thing led to another and now I love rap. Its there, you just have to look.

Hell no it hasnt died. Better in some ways.

It's pretty funny. I used to hate rap music more than anything in the world, but now I'd rather listen to it than today's 'latest hits'.

Still, I don't really care since I rarely expose myself to the mainstream music other than through TV.

Rap is like Rock N Roll in that it's far from dead, but not in the mainstream anymore.

You guys are just bad at searching for good music. You honestly expect to listen or find anything even remotely good on the radio is lulz to me. You have to search for it on the internet and good records are still being made. Nas has a newly released album if i'm not mistaken and Lupe Fiasco has another coming out in september. Most good quality music is internet/indie/underground exclusive now.
