Who is Snoop Dogg? Do you mean Snoop Lion?

Seriously though, I hope it is. When you have guys like Snoop Dogg saying that he is going to Reggae because Hip Hop is no challenge and that he wants to make music suitable for his family and his kids to listen to, that tell you enough right there.

It used to be stories. I remember hip hop back in the day and it nothing like the shit you hear today.

God I hope so.

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

It is not dead. It has changed.

In somewhat related news, pop music is melding more and more with dubstep.

Yeah, and that's the shittiest news I've heard in a looong time!! Man, I'm getting old...

No, it's just on hiatus. Much like when real rock music had to take a back seat to hair metal (just pop music with screaming). It'll come back, but it'll never be what it was. I haven't listened to the radio in almost 10 years, so I'm not all that jaded on the genre and I can still find quality rap music.

I am the Playstation Avenger.

Nope. Die Antwoord, boy.

Speaking of snoop dogg, while I was doing very little research on this topic I found out that he is supposedly in some sort of coma? Or rumors of death? Anyone else see that anywhere?

LOL no, he is releasing his debut Reggae album this fall, including a song titled "No Guns Allowed" which also features his daughter.

The article is only like 5 hours old.

It doesn't have to die, but the fact its not in my face 24/7 is a welcome change.

Rap turned to crap around early 2000. In the 90s you had actually decent people doing it. Rap might as well died with Pimp C.
