No it didn't, I need to read it from about another 5 threads before I believe it.

Wow. If this game is as good as that and as good as I think it will be, then for me atleast the Wii will have the best line up with SMG and SSBB.

How many threads does this need? There is another one on the latest threads on the main page for crying out loud!

How can you miss it?

I've never played a Smash Bros game and I know nothing about it, but given all the hype and expectation I'll probably buy it straight away (none of my friends own a Wii so there's no way for me to test it out first), what should I be expecting from it?

 Smash Bros. is basically a cross between a 2D fighting game and a party game. You can have up to four players bashing each-other at once on varied and interesting stages, with random item drops to make things even more fun. Traditionally, Smash Bros. games have included characters from a ton of Nintendo franchises, but this one will include a few third-party characters (Sonic the hedgehog and Solid Snake are confirmed, and there's speculation about Leon from the Resident Evil series.)

New things in SSB:B include a full online mode (both with friends codes and random matchups) and a fully fleshed-out single-player mode.

Oh, and just a warning: Some people take Smash Bros. far too seriously. For example, they'll only play on the few flat levels, and they'll insist on turning off items. If you run into one of these people, the only proper response is a swift kick to the nuts, followed by several "detox" rounds on the Pokemon level with item drops set on High.

"'Casual games' are something the 'Game Industry' invented to explain away the Wii success instead of actually listening or looking at what Nintendo did. There is no 'casual strategy' from Nintendo. 'Accessible strategy', yes, but ‘casual gamers’ is just the 'Game Industry''s polite way of saying what they feel: 'retarded gamers'."

To be fair, they gave FFXII a perfect score as well and while very good, wasnt as good as some of the games that came before it.

SSBB will be great regardless.

 Srong emotions just mess a person's mind.

I'm guessing they only game FFXII a score of 40/40 because they only played a few hours into it before giving their scores (like they do with most games) and FFXII was easily a perfect game until about 10 hours in when it showed it's true colours.

@Machina-AX

Expect Multiplayer fun, that's the true strength of this title's previous iterations. Single player isn't particularly strong, but suposedly this one is beefed up. And don't put me on death row for saying this but I can't imagine online will be much fun, playing with anonymous strangers? (who cares) I prefer seeing the faces and hearing the laughs of my victims via jigglypuff.

good for ssbb.
