Forums - Nintendo Discussion - 3DS XL and its (supposedly) bad speakers

That is not my experince, in fact i think they are an improvement over the 3DS speakers

From reading those comments, it "sounds" like the problems are only felt when you have the volume on maximum.

Aren't the speakers identical to the 3DS?

Well, I realized that they are not that loud. But that doesn´t bother me, because I mostly play with quality headphones.

And don´t forget: everything else is much better than the little 3DS-version.

I don't get it. They make the system bigger and in doing so they make the speakers smaller. :-/

Tease.

my guess is bad batch.I doubt Nintendo would release a crackling system. They would have limited the max volume to avoid it.

If the audio is truely of lower quality then i'd stick to the original 3DS. Audio quality plays a big role when I'm thinking about buying any sort of gadget. I've had bad experiences with bad audio in the past, it's not nice.

Forget the speakers...what is this all about o.O?

Yup, same thing happened to my DSi XL. It's like a yellow filter covering the screen, though I really only noticed when the screen went completely white. Good old Nintendo; "Because perfecting hardware is too mainstream... and too expensive."

On my 3DS XL i didn't notice any bad sounds or crackles etc on Max Volume, So 100% the is no sound defects such as crackles etc, but if the is Lower quality Sound in some other way i never noticed it, But i will get my Cuz 3DS in a bit and do a test using Mario Kart and ill upload the video (Id do KH also but by cuz dont have the demo on his system), But really if it is Lower quality in someway its no where near as bad as the guys from that site are making out!!, i think the guys over there must have defect units or most of them just heard of someone with a defect unit and started adding their 2 shits by saying they are having problems too.

or they are just audiophiles.  i've seem some pretty intense critiques of other audio devices.  i generally can't tell the differences unless the difference in quality is huge but some people are able to pick up very subtle differences.

but if the volume is lower that would suck.  i prefer to not use headphones if it don't have to.   ...ears tend to hurt after a while.

too expensive? what are you on about, they improved the screen and made it less reflective.
