Forums - Microsoft Discussion - What do you think of the new Xbox Dash ?

All I want is for the dashboard to be faster and smoother then I'll be happy. Currently it's laggy and I keep having to clear the system cache to speed things up. I wish MS would give us the option to select different types of dashboards i.e one that I could customise by getting rid of sections I don't want and one designed for control pad only rather than shoehorning Kinect into it.

Have you seen this?

Everything seems to be a lot smoother though having home>social>tv> THEN games still aggravates the hell out of me.

It's just that simple.

Owning both the Xbox 360 and PS3. Its very very clear in my country Microsoft are WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY ahead of Sony.

PSN in UK has 6 apps. 360 has 26.

PSN in UK has 32 demos. 360 as over 300.

PSN in UK regularly has demos days sometimes weeks after Xbox Live.

PS3 OS is very sluggish and takes way to many unorganized presses to get to anything in comparison to the organized few presses on Xbox Dash.

PSN disconnects are way to frequent. How many times am I winning on Killzone 3 before I get DC. Its ridiculous.

I love PS3 for Bluray and some exclusives, but the OS is a bit of a mess and PSN is a joke in comparison to Live.
Also the new IE 360 browser doesn't just beat the very terrible browser mess on PS3 but it destroys it.

Sony have a long way to go to before they challenge even close for multimedia.

I love it. A lot of interface streamlining in this update and a few nice little features added that are pretty awesome. IE also works very well, it's good enough that I don't mind using it (however the forum buddy on Vgchartz doesn't fit on the screen)

Does smart glass work with the browser?

Also is it possible to still sign up for the beta?

The definitive evidence that video games turn people into mass murderers

Looks pretty much like the current dashboard. My favorite 360 dashboard was the one that was released just before the current one that is being used now. That being said the current dashboard is still better then all the earlier ones except the one I just mentioned.

I'm not sure if Smart Glass is even with the beta yet.

And no, unfortunately the beta registration closed in less than a day.
