Most Disappointing game you ever played?

Pokemon Black and White really comes to mind here. I just could not get into that game at all. I blame Pokemon Mystery Dungeon for that because it's just a better series.

Another is Skyrim for PS3. On PC it's great, but the game just hates me on PS3 and froze on me 5 times within the first hour. Needless to say, I threw my controller and haven't looked back. Just another reason why I PC game now.

Mario Kart DS and most likely Uncharted.

Most likely Uncharted? So you haven't ever played it?

Also, Mariokart ds? That was the best Mariokart game of them all! Single player missions(something that should have been continued imo) and actually getting the battle modes right is what sets it apart in my opinion. They actually did balloon battle correctly unlike that horrible version on the wii. Shine runners was epic as well. Try Super Mariokart or Mariokart 64. Now those were crap.

As for me, Assassins Creed 2. Very boring. It might have gotten better later on, but it bored me to death.

I have. That's why it's on there.

No, in my opinion MKDS sucked to the n'th degree!

Carl is a Piplup hater and deserves to be punished eternally.

I haft to say 1) Socom 4
still a great game for its graphics.I still play it even though its extremely hard in multiplayer. The whole problem is this game could have been done better with a few tweeks. There is way to many grenades and bomb devices making the game a mess. There is always someone exploiting these flaws in the game. They either carry 4 grenades or are throwing c4 at you or using an rpg or using all at the same time making the game a mess. The other game is Wolfenstein could have been done way better. This is an activison game and for them to have call of duty with stellar graphic and online thats unreal wolfenstein is horrible. The games concept is fantastic but is done so poorly its ideas never fly.The game is just an epic fail!

Some others...too lazy to post them.

Did you seriously put Final Fantasy I in there? Come on now! You had expectations on that game based on what?

My first final fantasy game I played was FFIV back in 1993 via rental (didnt play a FF game until ->) and my first Final Fantasy game I bought was back in 2003 (actually 2 games FFX and FFIX). So ya even though its kinda of reversed, I did have expectations for FFI for the NES, I liked FFII and FFIII for the NES though but not FFI.

Ironically I played/bought my FF games in reverse in a way (excluding the spinoffs)

FFX (PS2) - > FFIX (PSX) -> FFVIII (PSX) -> FFVII (PSX) -> FFVI (SNES) -> FFI (PSX) -> FFII (PSX) -> FFIV (SNES) ->  FFIV Hardtype (SNES) -> FFIV (PSX) -> FFV (SNES) -> FFV (PSX) -> FFVI (PSX) -> FFX-2(PS2) FFIII (NES) -> FFII (NES) -> FFI (NES) -> FFXII (PS2)-> FFIII (NDS) --> FFIV (NDS) --> FFI (PSP) --> FFII (PSP) -> FFXIII (PS3) -> FFIV CC (PSP)

^ I think I may of missed a few ....I hope not ;p

There's a bunch I could name but If I have to focus and just name one then definitely would be Uncharted, could not get into the story, Drake annoyed the hell out of me, Elena wasn't the help she was meant to be (not that you need help) the puzzles and challenges are way too easy. the medals and treasures are not worth going back after the game its beaten, I beat this game under 6 hours, never played it again and it threw me off from the franchise.

Halo 2.

The game was/is great, and I still play it. I did, however, expect a lot more after playing the living shit out of Halo: CE. Ever since, my whole view on sequels has been changed. I now don't expect them to be much more massive than their prequels (in a good way), I just expect them to be 'different'.

Other notable mentions:

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
Mario Kart: Double Dash!!
Metroid Prime 3: Corruption

Resident Evil 5
after playing RE4 i expected too much...

Final Fantasy 12
i just thought its more of a politics than a fantasy...

pokemon black/white
the game is great but i expected it as the first 3d (actual) pokemon game

Fear, the girl copy cat from Ring was supposed to be a big deal

and WoW for certain.

I was a big fan of StarCraft, WarCraft 3 and Diablo 1,2 . All these games apart from great gameplay had either unmatched scenarios or great atmosphere. With Wow it was all gone.

Someone said Killzone. The hell ? I mean yeah, you may have an xbox and favor the Halo series more but you can't possibly be dissapointed by Killzone 2.

RE5 didn't dissapoint me cause i always hold a small basket with RE sequels and simply don't expect much !

FFXIII also didn't really dissapoint me cause after the open FF XII, I was really looking for a story-centric game and XIII hit the nail on the head for me. The story was a little avant-garde I must admit.
