Forums - Gaming Discussion - Most Disappointing game you ever played?

There's a bunch I could name but If I have to focus and just name one then definitely would be Uncharted, could not get into the story, Drake annoyed the hell out of me, Elena wasn't the help she was meant to be (not that you need help) the puzzles and challenges are way too easy. the medals and treasures are not worth going back after the game its beaten, I beat this game under 6 hours, never played it again and it threw me off from the franchise.

Halo 2.

The game was/is great, and I still play it. I did, however, expect a lot more after playing the living shit out of Halo: CE. Ever since, my whole view on sequels has been changed. I now don't expect them to be much more massive than their prequels (in a good way), I just expect them to be 'different'.

Other notable mentions:

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
Mario Kart: Double Dash!!
Metroid Prime 3: Corruption

Resident Evil 5
after playing RE4 i expected too much...

Final Fantasy 12
i just thought its more of a politics than a fantasy...

pokemon black/white
the game is great but i expected it as the first 3d (actual) pokemon game

Resident Evil 5
GTA IV
F.E.A.R.
World of Warcraft

Fear, the girl copy cat from Ring was supposed to be a big deal

and WoW for certain.

I was a big fan of StarCraft, WarCraft 3 and Diablo 1,2 . All these games apart from great gameplay had either unmatched scenarios or great atmosphere. With Wow it was all gone.

Someone said Killzone. The hell ? I mean yeah, you may have an xbox and favor the Halo series more but you can't possibly be dissapointed by Killzone 2.

RE5 didn't dissapoint me cause i always hold a small basket with RE sequels and simply don't expect much !

FFXIII also didn't really dissapoint me cause after the open FF XII, I was really looking for a story-centric game and XIII hit the nail on the head for me. The story was a little avant-garde I must admit.

Darksiders, easily.

probably the last GTA game and the last resident evil game.

Mario Kart DS and most likely Uncharted.

Most likely Uncharted? So you haven't ever played it?

Also, Mariokart ds? That was the best Mariokart game of them all! Single player missions(something that should have been continued imo) and actually getting the battle modes right is what sets it apart in my opinion. They actually did balloon battle correctly unlike that horrible version on the wii. Shine runners was epic as well. Try Super Mariokart or Mariokart 64. Now those were crap.

As for me, Assassins Creed 2. Very boring. It might have gotten better later on, but it bored me to death.

I have. That's why it's on there.

No, in my opinion MKDS sucked to the n'th degree!

Add me on psn then. Or did you play it in passing and made your verdict based on a short amount of gameplay you played at a friends/relatives/demo station.

army of two,wolfenstein!

Socom 4/ hardcore classic mode isnt bad.I am torn on this game.I do love this game and at times hate it making it a disappointment.Unfortunately zipper is no longer and the regular online minus bombtech can be messy at time's with ppl over using the explosives. The game is very hard and challenging and it keeps me coming back for more.It just makes me think with a little more care by the developer Socom 4 could have been a sucess like uncharted. The graphics are stellar but at times it has me pulling my hair out of my head, but I guess good games are suppose to do that, right?Hardest games to play online for ps3: 1)killzone 2, 2)Mag, 3)Socom 4 4) Resistance Fall of Man.

Pokemon Black/White. I'm a big Pokemon fan and the game was actually pretty fun but there was very little to do after you beat the game, and considering the precedent left by HeartGold/SoulSilver and even Pokemon Platinum, the game left me wanting more.

This is the true definition of owning.

For this generation i must say White Knight Chronicles.

When PS3 was less than a year old, there was 2 games (Or 3 with FF XIII when it was only on PS3) that was my reason for buying a expansive but nice looking PS3.

I bought the PS3 some times, different models with the years but it wasnt until to this year, and the spring, that i rented WKC.. Could not play more than 1 hour.. it was so boring!

Yakuza 3... i believed it could be in the same leauge as Shenmue, and even if it was not a bad game.. the feeling of mediocre was there a lot of the time i spent. Ninja Blade tough it did get mediocre critic, and from a good first hour it just did not get better.. I coldnt care more and i do love the genre and that is my weakness..
