Forums - General Discussion - BIG Legend of Korra news!!!

In my humble opinion yes it is. It's animations are even better than before, the story (due to fewer episodes) is more refined and streamlined and the dialogue is great.

What ticked people off (based on your statement) is that one of the main characters a guy named Mako was dating a girl named Asami then did a 180 in two episode and professed his love to Korra. It was too sudden and some people didn't like it.

But outside of that the first season was amazing and is definitely worth your time.

I once tried watching The Last Airbender because of it's interesting concept but it was a bit too childish and simplistic to my taste. Is The Legend of Korra any better?

I felt the exact same way about The Last Airbender, and tried but couldn't get myself interested enough to watch more than a couple episodes.

However, The Legend of Korra is, in my opinion, the best show on TV (perhaps ever).  So it's obviously possible to be into one and not the other, and since you haven't seen it I highly recommend watching Korra.  It's animated entertainment aimed at pretty much every audience out there, and is by no means a kid's show.

Thanks, gotta try it out now

If you didn't like The Last Airbender then you might like this one a little more.

There is still some "Childish" humour which may turn you away from it though.

Well it's not exactly the humor, it's an animation after all, but kind of the same thing I feel when reading the first two Harry Potter books. You know, prepubescent teens doing and discovering stuff not even adults can take care of.

Yes, an awful lot of fiction suffers from static characters while protagonists do everything, to be fair, but it sticks like a sore thumb when your focus are kids. Korra is apparently 17 from what I've already read, so that's a good sign already haha.

I'm pretty sure the majority of people in The Last Airbender were at least 15... right?

Anyway, you should enjoy it.

I've watched both series and trust me Korra is worth your time, the characters do act childish sometimes but it's small complaint compared to the overall awesomeness of the series.

So I didn't know where else to post this but this technically does fit under "BIG NEWS" cause.....KORRA IS BACK!!!!!

I really liked the premiere and thought it did a good setup of the upcoming season. Here's my favorite review of the premiere:

http://twodashstash.com/all-review-list/legend-korra-season-2-premiere-review/

The reviewer actually asks for people to comment and chat with him about Korra. That's cool.

You can do that or not but the question still remains....what did you think of Korra's premiere?
