Forums - PC Discussion - I'm looking for a PC real-time strategy game released between 1998 and 2002 that is similar to Cossacks: European Wars and Age of Empires 2

since rise of the nations has already been mentioned, age of mythology?

Rise of Nations is pretty good, I grabbed a copy in gamestation for £1 :p. Although I think it's effectively a carbon copy of every RTS game released in that time frame.. Cossacks were amazing, you're like the first person I met on the interwebz who played it other than me.

If you like Turok: Evolution aswell then you are my soulmate! :O

Ooooh, that looks awesome, and it's from ensemble too.

Red Alert 2. End quest.

Anyone in this thread still play AoE 2 online? I played until about three year ago but I have been longing for the AoE2 multiplayer experience for some time.

RTS games in single player never meant much to be (xcept Dune 2), campaign gameplay is just too boring. RTS is all about multiplayer to me.

You should start a thread and start a vgchartz Age of Empires 2 online tournament! I would play

The great thing about old PC games is that I could get all the games mentioned in this thread for ~£10!

Check out my hype threads: Cyberpunk, and The Witcher 3!

i am willing to confirm that age of mythology is one of the best rts games ever, and rise of nations is great as well, although the territories makes the gameplay quite different than age of empires/age of mythology.

I haven't played it! But I think it's one of those games that's too late to play I think!
